5. Aguero scores two as City put four past Tottenham

The final game of the Premier League weekend actually takes place on Monday night as Manchester City face a difficult trip away to Tottenham. Both sides are occupying places in the top four at the moment with City leading the league by two points.

Pep Guardiola’s side have looked brilliant in the past week as they demolished Burnley 5-0 at home and then followed this up with a super victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

Tottenham have been looking better in the league but have struggled in the Champions League. Mauricio Pochettino’s side were dealt another blow on Wednesday night as they let a 2-1 lead slip against PSV. They now face a very difficult task if they want to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

It doesn’t get any easier for them either as Manchester City will come to Wembley knowing that this match is very winnable and that Spurs aren’t playing their best game. Pochettino will still feel that his side can take something from this match though.

Spurs fans need something to shout about after their poor Champions League performance. The London club definitely have players that can go up against Manchester City but right now it doesn’t seem like those players believe they can win a match like this.

The opposite is true for the Manchester City players who are playing with the kind of confidence that took them to the Premier League title last season. They are also now benefiting from the return of playmaker Kevin de Bruyne who made his first start of the season in midweek.

City look almost unplayable right now and they will unlock the Tottenham defense early with a goal from Aguero. They will go onto score three more with Aguero bagging another and Guardiola’s side running out 4-1 winners.
