High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Eric Gordon (vs LAC – $6,100): Needs 27.8 fantasy points. Gordon struggled with Paul out of the lineup against the Jazz, but that likely had more to do with playing the Jazz and just an off-night. Gordon has proven himself to step up with one of Harden or Paul is out. And he typically plays well against the Clippers, averaging 33.8 fantasy points in his last five games against them. With Harden out, he’ll be the second option once again. Diagnosis: Expect a bounce-back performance given how Gordon typically plays when he starts.

Buddy Hield (vs WAS – $5,500): Needs 25.1 fantasy points. Aside from a rough 12.2 fantasy point performance against the Nuggets, Field has been great this season. He’s coming off a 34.7 fantasy point effort against the Grizzlies on Oct. 24. No Iman Shumpert means more chances for Hield. He’s been good this season and I still don’t trust the Wizards. Diagnosis: As long as his shot is falling, he’ll get his points and do just enough in other categories to boost his value.

Wesley Matthews (at TOR – $5,500): Needs 25.1 fantasy points. I’ve been going to Matthews a lot with Harrison Barnes out of the lineup and he hasn’t let me down yet. The Raptors will be by far the toughest matchup the Mavericks have played, which is the only thing worrying me. But I’ll ride him until he cools off. The shots will continue to be there. Diagnosis: Hot hand who keeps getting shots due to injuries. The matchup is worrying.
