High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Eric Gordon (vs LAC – $6,500): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Gordon underdelivered against the Jazz, finishing with 22.3 fantasy points. He’s typically better when he draws the start, so I’ll chalk up that game to an off-night and expect him to bounce back against the Clippers He had 33 fantasy points against the Clippers on Oct. 21. Diagnosis: Typically a good option when one of Paul or Harden is out. I am concerned that ISO Melo will take chances from him.

Damyean Dotson (vs GS – $5,200): Needs 21.7 fantasy points. Dotson has come out of nowhere to make an impact and I’m still not sure what I’m seeing. He’s coming off a 40 fantasy point performance against the Heat. He’s getting points and rebounds and chipping in with defense. Again, I don’t know what to make of him and this could be a case of an early season explosion that isn’t sustainable. But go with it for now. Diagnosis: Risky because I need to see more. But there’s no denying how impressive he’s been thus far.

Wesley Matthews (at TOR – $5,100): Needs 21.2 fantasy points. Matthews continues to deliver with Harrison Barnes out of the lineup. As of this writing, Barnes is probable to play on Friday. That worries me about Matthews’ value. If Barnes ends up playing, you may want to look elsewhere, especially with his matchup. Diagnosis: Wait until the status of Barnes is determined before making a decision. Should be fine if Barnes sits.
