Tight End: O.J. Howard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers- $5,800

This week’s lineup main stack comes from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With Jameis Winston as quarterback, it made perfect sense to match him with one of his favorite options, Howard.

In last week’s overtime victory over the Cleveland Browns, Howard was targeted a season high, nine times. He caught five passes for 67 yards, while averaging over a first down per reception. Howard is averaging nearly 18 yards per reception. He is just six receptions and 81 yards away from matching his totals from 2017.

Since Winston was named the starter, Howard has caught nine passes for 129 yards and one score. Before that, Howard had a combined 11 catches in four games. He has had at least 54 yards in every game this season, minus Tampa’s game against Chicago, where Howard only played in 15 snaps.

The Buccaneers take on the Cincinnati Bengals, who have had some trouble against tight ends. Tight ends are averaging 14.1 fantasy points against the Bengals, third most in the league. The Bucs and the Pittsburgh Steelers are the only two teams in the NFL that tight ends are averaging more fantasy points against.

With that being said, Cincinnati has allowed the most fantasy points to tight ends; 98.8. They have surrendered 48 receptions to the position group, most in the league. In addition, they have given up 521 yards, third most in the NFL and four touchdowns, which is tied for second most in 2018.

Howard’s increase in targets is an indication that they are trying to get him moved involved and he has the potential for a big afternoon against the Bengals.
