South Florida vs. Houston

The South Florida Bulls are undefeated and have flown under most of the country’s radar up to this point. Charlie Strong’s team is doing a great job of winning and the Bulls have been winning in all sorts of weird ways throughout the year.

A high scoring affair against Georgia Tech? Sure, the Bulls can win that. South Florida needs a comeback to beat Illinois? That’s no real issue.Ā ECU wants to play a low scoring, defensive slugfest? USF can win that too.Ā Now this weekend, South Florida will have to find a way to beat one of the best offenses in all of college football.

The Houston Cougars are tearing their opponents apart and have been doing so all season. UH is 6-1 on the year and the only loss that the Cougars have is a 63-49 loss to 5-2 Texas Tech. So, if a team is going to beat Houston, it’s going to have to outscore Houston. Trust me, outscoring this Houston team is not easily accomplished.

The Cougs gain an unreal amount of yards against opposing defenses, getting 554.7 yards per game. Oh, and Houston is also getting 7.4 yards per play this year. This is a team that is built to score on anyone and can conceivably do so. South Florida has a tough test ahead of them this weekend.

Watch Houston host South Florida on either ABC or ESPN2 at 2:30 p.m. Central Time.
