College GameDay will head to Jacksonville, FL for Saturday’s Florida vs. Georgia matchup. To close the show, which mascot head will Lee Corso don?

On Saturday, Oct. 27, the latest edition of College GameDay will see the usual group of Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard and other analysts break down the weekend’s slate of college football games.

The show will emulate from Jacksonville, FL for Georgia vs. Florida. It’s the first time the game will take place in this city since 2005, even before Tim Tebow walked around Gainesville.

This SEC matchup has two top 10 teams in the mix, as Georgia sits at No. 7 and Florida No. 9 in the college football rankings. So it’s not just an important conference battle, but one that may shape the national landscape.

To close the show, as always, Corso will make his headgear pick. It’s when he chooses the on-site game by donning the mascot head of the school he thinks will win. For this game, it’s either the Bulldog or Gator head. Who will he choose?

Aside from a blemish against Kentucky, Florida has run through the SEC. That includes a win over LSU on Oct. 6, 27-19. The most recent game saw them topple Vanderbilt by 10 points, as well.

If the Gators win Saturday’s game, they have the chance to run the table and potentially sneak into the College Football Playoff. Otherwise, there’s a spot for them in the New Year’s Six.

As for Georgia, they lost a game for the first time this season against LSU on Oct. 13, 36-16. They were shut out in the first half, which proved to be their demise and set them back in the conference.

Considering he lives in the Orlando, Florida, Corso pulled the trigger on Florida and threw on that Gators head.

Can the Gators live up to Corso’s prediction and take down the Bulldogs? We will find out this afternoon.
