What a thrilling finish in Columbia, Missouri on Saturday evening! With no time on the clock, Kentucky quarterback Terry Wilson found his tight end C.J. Conrad to stun Missouri 15-14 to improve to 7-1 on the year. Kentucky’s only loss on the year was a few weeks ago on the road to Texas A&M in overtime. While the Mizzou defense kept Kentucky star running back Benny Snell in check, Kentucky will play for the SEC East division crown next week at home in Georgia. This will be the biggest game in this one-sided gridiron rivalry. Is Georgia ready?

Ohio State looked so rough on the road against Purdue last week in West Lafayette. Though it was the Buckeyes’ only blemish this season, they can’t afford any more hiccups the rest of the way if they want to even dream about making the Playoff. For the first time since Jim Harbaugh arrived in Ann Arbor, hated Michigan could be favored in The Game, even if it is being played in The Horseshoe in Columbus. Frankly, the Wolverines may end up being the only ranked team left on Ohio State’s regular season slate.

UCF was idle this weekend but keeps its spot in the top-10. The Knights’ winning streak remains intact, as the likeliest candidate to make the New Year’s Six out of the Group of 5. They may have a few resume boosters the rest of the way, as both Cincinnati and South Florida could be ranked at the time of their meeting with UCF. However, Navy is not good and the Knights will only have played 11 regular season games this fall, as their road date with North Carolina was canceled. The Knights are solid but need absolute chaos plus a perfect season to make the Playoff.

Oklahoma slaughtered the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday afternoon. By blowing K-State out 51-14, the Sooners should feel pretty good about their chances at a rematch with Texas, this time in the Big 12 Championship. Oklahoma still has a Heisman contender at quarterback in Kyler Murray, who threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns in this rout. With Texas falling to Oklahoma State in Stillwater, the Sooners are the best team in the Big 12, but still have West Virginia on the slate.

Georgia beats rival Florida down in Jacksonville to improve to 7-1 on the year. The Dawgs would eventually put it on Florida late in the fourth quarter, winning to the tune of 36-17. While quarterback Jake Fromm was outstanding with 17 of 24 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns, Georgia had its issues running up the middle and in the red zone for most of the game. Their road battle against Kentucky in Lexington will decide the SEC East.
