High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,250

Otto Porter Jr. (At LAC – $5,400): Needs 25 fantasy points. Oh boy. First off, as you can see, Porter Jr. is well under the salary limit. But I’ve covered everyone above him and so, yes, Porter Jr. fits into the high salary category on Sunday. It’s that kind of day. As for Porter Jr. specifically…oh boy. There’s no reason to trust him, which is reason enough to trust him given the Wizards history. The potential is always there given how good we’ve seen him be. But…oh boy. Diagnosis: High reward, higher risk player.

Trevor Ariza (at OKC – $5,300): Needs 24.5 fantasy points. Typically I wouldn’t like Ariza this much, but he’s technically a high salary guy on Sunday. He’s been up-and-down this season and isn’t a reliable enough scorer to be trust on a night-to-night basis. He’s had some big games, but simply isn’t trustworthy every night. Diagnosis: Ariza is boom-or-bust this season. The Thunder haven’t looked good, so maybe he’ll be a boom player, but it’s a risk.

Montrezl Harrell (vs WAS – $5,200): Needs 24.2 fantasy points. Harrell did what Harrell does against the Rockets, posting 46.5 fantasy points. He’s always been inconsistent against non-Rockets teams, which is the concern, but if he plays, he’s going to put up points and rebounds to go along with his defensive numbers. Diagnosis: Slight risk due to minutes concerns, but high ceiling.
