High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jarrett Allen (vs GS – $6,500): Needs 28.5 fantasy points. Allen has been good in all but one game this season. He was invisible against the Warriors last season, but this is a different Allen and a different Nets team, especially with Hollis-Jefferson still working his way back into the lineup. He should be able to do enough in the scoring and rebounding department, along with some blocks, to be around 30 fantasy points. Diagnosis: Solid option, but a tough matchup.

Ed Davis (vs GS – $4,100): Needs 18 fantasy points. Davis continues to be a reliable option. He has a low salary, plays enough minutes to put up decent numbers, and rarely hurts your team. He also had a 39 fantasy point game against the Warriors last season. He won’t have a huge game, but he will be at value. Diagnosis: Consistent player who does just enough to be at value. Sometimes you need those guys at a low salary.

Nerlens Noel (vs PHO – $3,900): Needs 17.1 fantasy points. Noel gets the minutes to product and, much like Davis, won’t hurt you too much. He’s unlikely to have a big game, but maybe he plays more if the Thunder are able to win running away. Given that the Thunder have zero wins this season, that seems less likely. Diagnosis: Low cost option who will do enough, but not much more.
