No. 6 Marquise Goodwin vs Arizona

Marquise Goodwin is the most important receiver on the 49ers. The most important player outside of him? George Kittle. Goodwin and Kittle should develop a very important dynamic for this team. Kittle stretches the field horizontally and eats up yardage sometimes all at once. Goodwin, the former track star, dominates deep balls and makes it look easy at times (cue first half footage from Green Bay game).

The injury bug has been hanging around Goodwin this year and he’s missed two games, three if you count the opener where he suffered his first injury of the year. The Green Bay game was his biggest moment but his start after the injury, while small, wasn’t bad either. Three catches, 30 yards and a touchdown in the loss to Kansas City, Goodwin plays a very important part of this offense.

He’s averaging 18.5 yards per catch, thanks to the Green Bay game but in every game this season outside of the opener has a 10+ yards per catch average.

Where I look for Goodwin to improve in a winnable game against Arizona? The second half. He has just five catches for 53 yards and one touchdown after halftime this season.
