Supergirl season 4, episode 3 live stream: Watch online

In tonight’s new episode of Supergirl, Ben Lockwood takes center stage, and we’ve got all the details you need to watch Supergirl online or on TV.

Supergirl has decided it’s time for us to understand Agent Liberty’s motivations a little more, or at least, time to see who he was before he was a masked, gaslighting murderer. Just three episodes in, Supergirl already made a convincing argument for Mercy Graves as the season’s Big Bad™. More importantly, she’s tied to someone much more important, who The CW already confirmed would arrive later this season. So, really, Agent Liberty is either dead weight or the one who will help break Lex Luthor out of jail.

Either way, his backstory is woefully unnecessary.

Of course, Lex Luthor isn’t the only thing to look forward to this season. In fact, Supergirl has given us two delightful episodes so far, one of which heavily focused on the competency of a Luthor who isn’t Lex, proving that Supergirl doesn’t need to rely on Superman lore and iconic characters to be interesting.

Whether your excitement is fueled by the upcoming “Elseworlds” crossover or the fact that Supergirl is actually good again, the next few months might be the Arrowverse’s best yet.

"Ben Lockwood did not always hate aliens. Ben slowly transforms from a mild-mannered professor into the villainous Agent Liberty of today through a series of events and input from his anti-alien father."

While we can all agree that fathers have powerful effects on their children and can either help or harm them, Agent Liberty’s actions are all his own. Just as a former alien prince needed to be accountable for his heinous actions, Agent Liberty doesn’t get a pass no matter what we see in tonight’s episode.

What’s worse, Superman is the Man of Steel. Hopefully, Supergirl won’t try to get cute and use this phrase to describe Agent Liberty just because he’s wearing some sort of cheap Black Mask/Doctor Doom rip-off.
