High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jonas Valanciunas (at MIL – $5,800): Needs 25.2 fantasy points. Aside from a rough game against the Celtics, Valanciunas has been more than steady this season. He’s coming off a 30.1 fantasy point performance against the Mavericks on Oct. 26. The Bucks spread offense might keep him off the floor for long stretches, which is a bit of a concern. But he’ll make an impact in the minutes he does play. Diagnosis: A risk due to minutes concern. But as long as he somewhat plays, he’ll contribute.

Dewayne Dedmon (at PHI – $4,500): Needs 19.6 fantasy points. Dedmon returned to the lineup on Oct. 25 and looked to be on a minutes restriction. But that restriction was over on Oct. 27 when he played 27 minutes and had 43.6 fantasy points. He’s a better option than Len and he’ll be needed to do battle with Embiid. He averaged 30.2 fantasy points in three games against the Sixers last season. Diagnosis: Low salary for a guy who is going to get big minutes. Should make value in just rebounding alone.

Ed Davis (at NY – $4,100): Needs17.8 fantasy points. Davis was a bust against the Warriors, but I expect him to be better against the Knicks. One rough game against the best team in the league doesn’t deter me from taking him. Davis has been solid this season and should get back on track against the lowly Knicks. Diagnosis: He’ll be better against the second-worst team in the East.
