Todd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams

Stats: 800 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns, 351 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns

Todd Gurley is once again dominating the NFL. Many people drafted Gurley No.1 overall in fantasy drafts. Those who passed on him are kicking themselves for not believing he would have another great season. Gurley is averaging 143 all-purpose yards per game. Which surpasses his 139 from a season ago. Gurley in Week 9 gets a date with the New Orleans Saints 23rd-ranked defense.

The Saints have a decent rush defense. With Gurley that won’t matter. He has proven he can catch just like a receiver out of the backfield. He has been able to produce big numbers on his 31 receptions this season. Gurley is matchup proof and will continue to prove that in Week 9. Against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8, Gurley was dominant once again.

His 114 rushing yards, 81 receiving yards and touchdown helped the Rams hold on and drain the clock to beat the Packers and improve to 8-0 on the season. Gurley and his Rams are the NFL’s only remaining unbeaten team heading into Week 9. Gurley is on pace to beat LaDainian Tomlinson’s single-season record of 31 touchdowns set back in the 2006 season. Gurley has amassed 15 total touchdowns through eight games.

With so much hype coming into the season for the Rams, Gurley has helped lead the way and prove that the hype is not only real but sustainable. Week 9 and beyond he is a must-have and must-play. There are so signs of him slowing down anytime soon. Play Gurley if you have him.

Prediction: 150 rushing yards, 75 receiving yards, 3 total touchdowns
