7-1. Previous: 4th. Golden State Warriors. 3. team. 41.

The Warriors probably could have reclaimed their hold on the top spot this week but I took the opportunity to give some else a chance while it was still feasible (which it may not be for long). Golden State won all four of their games this week, by a total of 81 points. They’re now on a five-game winning streak that includes four wins by 20 or more points.

At an individual level, I think it’s safe to say they’re clicking on all cylinders as well. Kevin Durant dropped 41 points on the Knicks (perhaps auditioning for free agency). Stephen Curry is averaging career-highs in field goal and 3-point attempts and is arguably playing better than he ever has before. Klay Thompson had been struggling and then he went out and hit 14 3-pointers in a game, dropping 52 points in just 27 minutes. Oh, and they’re scoring about 6.0 more points per 100 possessions than any other offense in NBA history.
