Green Bay Packers

The Packers need to be thankful they’re in the NFC North. Since they are, they still have a chance of clawing out a playoff berth this year. In most other divisions, they’d already be too far behind.

It’s scary to think just where this team would be without Aaron Rodgers’ wizardry at quarterback. It’s very possible they’d be 0-7 instead of 3-3-1. He hits the midpoint of the season having thrown 13 touchdowns compared to just one interception.

It’s obvious the problems for these team occur on the defensive side of the ball. The organization has spent a lot of high draft picks in recent years trying to correct that imbalance, but it just hasn’t worked. There are a bunch of high picks in the secondary who still look like average players.

Add it all up and Mike McCarthy could be in serious jeopardy down the stretch. He and Rodgers clearly have some personal friction that will negatively impact our grade. It could be playoffs or bust for McCarthy if he wants to keep his job. That makes it clear the Packers are struggling mightily at the moment.
