NHL DFS DraftKings Snipes – Centers

Sidney Crosby Penguins ($7,300)

Here is another opportunity to slot Crosby into your line up at a fair price. He is $800 cheaper than Connor McDavid and has five goals in his last three games. Crosby shouldn’t require too much explanation as to why you can feel comfortable playing him tonight. Just check back to his career statistics as proof that only concussions can slow this guy down, not opponents. Right now, he is healthy as an ox!

Alex Galchenyuk Coyotes ($5,400)

Galchenyuk has only recently made his first appearance with his new team, which explains his low point total. He has an assist in consecutive games while earning consistent minutes around 16 per game. Gally and Clayton Keller have clicked so far with both of his assists coming on Keller goals. It feels strange to say, but the Coyotes are on a roll lately with a recent 7-1 victory over the Lightning and a 4-1 win over the Canucks. Galchenyuk has been inserted into the Yotes first power play unit.

Logan Couture Sharks ($6,700)

Couture centers one of the hottest lines in the NHL. On top of that, their match up tonight heavily favors the Sharks as they have the second highest projected goal total of the night. Couture has six goals and seven assists on the season and averaging 4.9 FPPG. Currently sporting a six game point streak, he should have plenty of opportunities to extend. Not only does he get to play on a hot line, but he also plays on the first power play unit with Evander Kane, Joe Pavelski, Erik Karlsson, and Brent Burns.

NHL DFS DraftKings Snipes – Wingers

Jake Guentzel Penguins ($6,000 )

Guentzel is the second piece of the Penguins stack, which is one of my favorites tonight. Don’t be fooled by his 14 minutes of ice time in the last two games as they were both blow outs. He is more likely to stay around 17 to 18 minutes as long as the score is reasonably close. However, the way the Pens are rolling, Crosby and Guentzel together can be the reason they are dominating a game.

Dominik Simon Penguins ($3,300 )

Simon is a great value play tonight as he will skate on the top line with Crosby and Guentzel. He also gets time on the second power play unit. Simon is on a three game point streak and his price tag is still down. The Penguins are on a roll lately scoring 20 goals in their last three games.

Clayton Keller Coyotes ($5,700)

Keller is proving to be one of the young studs of the NHL helping turn around one of the weaker teams. At home, he and the Yotes face a Ottawa team that ranks 30th against opposing centers. Keller’s slow start proved to be a fluke as he has flipped the switch and scored all five of his goals in the last five games. The addition of Galchenyuk to his line makes him even more dangerous than before.

Timo Meier Sharks ($6,600)/Tomas Hertl Sharks ($5,700)

To keep this a bit shorter, I’ll lump these two together as they are a stack option to join Couture. Meier has a goal in four consecutive games which has him sitting at eight goals in 11 games. He has taken 10 shots over the last two games. Hertl on the other hand has a six game point streak going. His numbers are reversed from Meier’s as he has four goals and eight assists while averaging 4.4 FPPG.

NHL DFS DraftKings Snipes – Defense and Goalies

Brent Burns Sharks ($7,000)

You can feel comfortable starting Burns tonight if you are going with a cheaper goalie. He is the highest priced defender on the slate, but offers a really high floor. Burns has a point in eight consecutive games and is a killer on the power play. Six of his 13 points have come on the power play, which is proof that he can actually hurt his opponent in any scenario. He is having a career year in possession metrics to start the year with a CF% of 57.1 and a FF% of 57.7.

Anthony DeAngelo Rangers ($4,200)

Staying with the same game is a cheaper option and youngster, Anthony aka “Tony” DeAngelo. Now this is one we can not decide on until game time because he is filling in for the injured Adam McQuaid. McQuaid is DTD and we are unsure if he is in the line up tonight or waiting until Thursday. DeAngelo has filled in nicely and provided four points in three games, including a goal and an assist two nights ago in Los Angeles. I will keep you updated on Twitter as soon as I hear about McQuaid’s situation.

Jaroslav Halak Bruins ($7,500)

This may be a risk going with a backup goalie on the road. But Halak has been special to start the season. He boasts a 1.43 GAA and two shutouts to go along with a 3-0-2 record. By going with Halak over some of the top options like Martin Jones or Matt Murray, you may be able to fit a Connor McDavid or a David Pastrnak into your line up.
