30. . Edge. Clemson. Clelin Ferrell. 8. player

The New York Jets are rolling with a rookie quarterback this season, as they have given Sam Darnold the keys to the car from the beginning of the season until now. Darnold has shown flashes of brilliance during his short run as the starting quarterback for the Jets, but he has a long way to go, and not many weapons at his disposal.

While the Jets could go a number of different ways in the first round next April, including bolstering the offensive line, or adding an elite wideout, they could also focus on the defensive side of the ball. They have spent many early draft picks on the defense, and at No. 8, an edge rusher like Clelin Ferrell from Clemson may be too hard to pass up.

Ferrell is one of the elite pass rushers in this draft class, and is a major reason why the Clemson Tigers are likely headed back to the College Football Playoff. He has incredible speed, and strength, and is a guy who is going to be able to get the edge at the next level.

With a young quarterback under center, it is so important that your defense be able to get the job done, and the Jets are just bad at getting after the quarterback. Ferrell could help cure some of those woes on that side of the ball, putting Darnold and the offense in better situations throughout the game.
