Hey guys! Lets get to these Fantasy Football Week 9 LOCK plays of thee week for the NFL DFS Slate! Time to cash out and enjoy the weekend!

Jared Goff

Salary: Draftkings: $6,000 | Fanduel: $8,400

Jared Goff a.k.a Malibu’s Most Wanted (check out his Halloween costume) gets to face the New Orlean Saints and is some how not the most expensive quarterback on the slate. The New Orleans Saints rank 28th in passing defense giving up 300 yards through the air. Now Goff may be without Cooper Kupp but that does not hurt Goff’s stock value. Goff has completed 67% of his passes so far this season, throwing for 17 touchdowns and just 5 interceptions. He a3lso has a QBR of 76.8 on the season. Another plus for Goff in this match-up with the Saints is that they have only snagged 3 interceptions in 7 games. Ranking against the number one and number two receivers, assuming it’ll be Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, they’ll be in a prime spot as the Saints coverage ranks last against the top two receivers on any team. Also this allows Goff to look for Todd Gurley II in the passing game as the Saints can’t stop a running-back when utilized right. This match-up just yells “Lock” for Jared Goff going into Week 9.

Kareem Hunt

Salary: Draftkings: $7,700 | Fanduel: $8,500

Usually when we’re talking about the Kansas City Chiefs, we’re talking about Patrick MaGOAT but not this week. Kareem Hunt has been a consistent beast since his bad opening week and he has another prime spot this weekend facing the Cleveland Browns. As the Browns go through a major front office change, expect there to be some minds not focused. The Cleveland Browns give up 138 yards on the ground but surprisingly not through the air. Hunt has seen a decrease in yards per game as he’s only averaging 74 yards per game as opposed to 84 yards last season but that is most likely due to MaGOAT being a quarterback who spreads out the ball. He does only have five touchdowns on the ground on the season but he also has five touchdowns through the air. Hunt only averages 32 yards through the air per game but combine both, the ground and the air, and you have yourself a beautiful fantasy football monster. Expect MaGOAT to find Hunt in short yardage red-zone situations while Hunt is able to control the rock on the ground.

Greg Olsen

Salary: Draftkings: $4,700 | Fanduel: $6,200

I covered this man in my “What To Watch For” article and he’s a “Lock Play” this week. Greg Olsen gets to be the next tight end to exploit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Expect me to have the tight end that is facing the Buccaneers every week until they can get it right. Like I said previously, Olsen isn’t getting the targets or the yards that he was once getting in the prime of his career but he will this weekend. The Buccaneers rank 26th against tight ends and are allowing them to get on average 80 yards per game with usually a score also. Olsen is only averaging 35 yards per game and has only two touchdowns on the season but they have came back to back in Week 8 and Week 7 which means we should see a third one this weekend. There isn’t too much to say about this “lock play” besides lock him in and let the Buccaneers do what they do best, allowing tight ends to find the end-zone.

DeAndre Hopkins

Salary: Draftkings: $8,300 | $8,600

This is more of a risk, lock play more than anything. DeAndre Hopkins gets to face the Denver Broncos who rank 11th in passing defense with only giving up 237 yards through the air. But this is why Hopkins becomes a “lock play” and it’s because of the fresh trade for Demaryius Thomas who gets to face his former team already. As Thomas looks to get some revenge (we don’t skip revenge narratives around here) Hopkins won’t have as much pressure on himself anymore, especially if KeKe is back. The Broncos defense does have a lock on number one receivers as they rank 10th against them, the number two receivers usually get around the most. DeShaun Watson won’t have the chemistry with Demaryius Thomas so Hopkins will still be the main focus point of the Texans offense.

Devin Funchess

Salary: Draftkings: $5,600 | Fanduel: $6,400

The last time we brought up Devin Funchess, the man went off for 18.4 points and I expect him to do it once again against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Not having the best weapons on offense, Cam Newton is making it work and Funchess is one of the beneficiaries of it. The Buccaneers rank 27th against the number one receiver on the field, which should be Funchess, allowing them to average close to a hundred yards per game and even if he becomes the number two receiver, he’ll still should average close to ninety yards. Funchess is catching 64% what is thrown his way, averaging 57 yards per game and has just three touchdowns on the season. Not keeping the streak alive last week, expect him to have a nice bounce back this week against a poor Tampa Bay defense.
