Heading into Week 10 of the 2018 college football season, the Heisman Trophy candidate field has been significantly narrowed.

With just a few regular season games left for most of the Heisman Trophy field, the top five players will really have to showcase what they can do to make some final impressions on the voting members.

Week 9 definitely culled the herd a bit with some upsets and uninspiring performances. These players – who have been up and down in the rankings for a number of weeks – have likely been removed from the Heisman discussion completely.

Will Grier – Quarterback, West Virginia
Benny Snell Jr. – Running Back, Kentucky
Laviska Shenault Jr.– Wide Reciever, Colorado
Darrell Henderson – Running Back, Memphis
McKenzie Milton – Quarterback, UCF
Ed Oliver – Defensive Tackle, Houston
Trace McSorley – Quarterback, Penn State
Eric Dungey – Quarterback, Syracuse
Jonathan Taylor – Running Back, Wisconsin

This will likely be how the Top 5 pans out for the remainder of the season. Movement up or down will really depend on what kind of Heisman moments each player can deliver in some of the biggest games in their seasons. One player on this list to keep an eye on is Snell. If he has a big game against Georgia and the Wildcats upset the Bulldogs, Snell could possibly find himself back in the race.
