High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Al Horford (vs MIL – $6,000): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. Horford is always an inconsistent option because what he does doesn’t show up on the boxscore. But he typically plays well against the Bucks. Granted, these are not the Bucks of last season because they finally have some size, but I’m going to trust Horford to be a double-double threat and step his game up in a huge early season matchup. Diagnosis: Dominated the Bucks last year and will step up in this one.

Jusuf Nurkic (vs NO – $5,900): Needs 27.8 fantasy points. The emergence of Zach Collins has limited Nurkic a bit, but he has a high ceiling. He was inconsistent against the Pelicans last season as sometimes he dominated and other times he was played off the floor. I don’t have a great read on him, but the ceiling might be worth it for you. Diagnosis: High risk, high reward player. Not much in-between.

Cody Zeller (vs OKC – $4,000): Needs 18.8 fantasy points. Zeller continues to be a reliable low-cost option. He’s routinely giving you 20 fantasy points and you need those guys on your team with such a low salary. The matchup might be tough against Steven Adams, but I’m going to trust his consistency. Diagnosis: Reliable low-cost option.
