High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

JJ Redick (vs LAC – $5,600): Needs 25.1 fantasy points. Redick has been up-and-down this season, which is a bit concerning because he’s typically more reliable. I still trust him because he gets plenty of shots and he’s one of the best shooters in the league. He’s a bit cold right now, but we know what he’s capable of. Diagnosis: High ceiling and typically reliable, even though his shot isn’t falling right now.

Rodney Hood (vs DEN – $5,300): Needs 23.8 fantasy points. I’ve been in on Hood the last couple of games and it’s worked out. He’s playing with confidence and he’s one of the young guys who is getting a chance to showcase himself in Cleveland. The Nuggets are better than expected defensively, but they are on a back-to-back and Hood is going to shoot. Diagnosis: He’s hot and we know he’ll keep firing. His value is largely tied to his scoring, which is a concern.

Malik Monk (vs OKC – $4,100): Needs 18.1 fantasy points. I don’t trust the Thunder defense against 3-point shooters and I do trust Monk to make shots. He’s been fairly reliable this season and he has a high ceiling with his shooting ability. Much like Hood, his value is largely tied to his scoring, but he should get buckets against a shaky Thunder D. Diagnosis: Been reliable and has the ability to go off from behind the arc. Good matchup.
