FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – November 1, 2018
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Joel Embiid (vs LAC – $10,900): Needs 48.4 fantasy points. Aside from a rough outing against the Hawks of all teams, Embiid has been strong in the last couple of weeks. The Clippers can be undersized at times, which will help Embiid in the post and the paint. He’ll get his points and rebounds while chipping in with some defense. Diagnosis: The only person who will stop Embiid on Thursday is Boban.
Steven Adams (at CHA – $7,500): Needs 33.3 fantasy points. Adams had 44 fantasy points against the Clippers on Oct. 30. He’s a double-double threat on any night and his rebounding numbers are up as the Thunder have changed their scheme a bit to not have Westbrook rebound quite as much. Adams has a chance at a big game given the Hornets frontcourt rotation. Diagnosis: Should post a strong scoring and rebounding night.
Willie Cauley-Stein (at ATL – $7,300): Needs 32.4 fantasy points. The salary is a bit high, but the matchup feels too good to pass up on. The Hawks have gained some size with Dedmon back in the lineup, but Cauley-Stein has been a force in the paint and on the glass. I think his defense numbers will rise in this one as well. Diagnosis: Good matchup and fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
