John Brown, Baltimore Ravens, $6,400

Stats: 586 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns

John Brown has been through some rough times in his career. Going to Baltimore has lead to his resurgence in the NFL. He leads the Ravens in receiving yards and touchdowns. It’s good to see a guy like Brown do well again. His talent is undeniable. Week 9 he will play the Pittsburgh Steelers at home. In Week 4 against the Steelers he amassed 116 receiving yards and a touchdown. This week it’s at home.

Brown comes at a very cheap price for this juicy matchup. He dominated the Steelers last time around and Joe Flacco will be looking for his speedy receiver all game long. The Ravens have done a nice job of bolstering their receiving corps this past offseason. Not only adding Brown, but also adding Michael Crabtree and Willie Snead. Brown has been the front runner though with his four touchdown grabs.

Week 8 Brown and the entire Ravens offense struggled against the Carolina Panthers. Brown just managed 28 yards receiving. His seven targets should give us a sense of hope though. High volume week in and week out is what we want and look for. Flacco has targeted Brown 61 times throughout the season and he is averaging a little over seven targets per game. This matchup and Brown’s price will fit well with your lineups.

We also like to stack our featured quarterback with one of his skill position players if the matchup presents itself. This week the matchup is ripe and ready for Brown to pluck those long balls out of the Baltimore sky against a Steelers defense who is 24th-ranked against the pass. Through eight games Pittsburgh has allowed 265 passing yards per game. With Brown’s price and what we have seen he can do against this Steelers defense already, jump on this opportunity this Sunday.

Prediction: 125 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
