We’re reached the midpoint of the 2018 NFL season and it’s time to make some serious money. Start by putting your cash behind Tom Brady.

Last week’s 3-2 record pushed us to two games over .500 for the season. We intend to make you even more money during the second half of the campaign. We’ll start by helping you with five solid wagers to make in Week 9.

The good news is there are quite a few games on this week’s schedule that are worth wagering on. There may not be a single game that we’d advocate risking your mortgage on, but there’s a real depth to the schedule.

Without further delay, let’s jump right into this week’s favorable matchups. We’ll start with an interesting game pitting the Jets against the Dolphins.

5. Bet on the Dolphins -3 vs. the Jets

The risky part about this bet is that we still don’t know who’s going to play quarterback for the Dolphins. Ryan Tannehill is throwing again, but his status for Sunday is still up in the air. It’s very possible we’re pushing for you to bet on Brock Osweiler.

In truth, this bet is more about Miami’s ability to run the football. Frank Gore and Kenyan Drake should be in line for big days against the Jets’ defense. Look for the pair to rack up over 150 yards on the ground as a duo.

We also don’t think Sam Darnold is primed to light up the Dolphins defense. He’s been wildly inconsistent this season. The fact that he continues to lose offensive weapons on a weekly basis doesn’t help things. Bilal Powell is the latest Jet to find himself on IR.

This isn’t a game that you should make a huge bet on, but you can feel free to tease the line a bit for extra value. You could elect to push it all the way to 6.5 if you’re really feeling lucky.
