DraftKings Late CFB picks November 3: OU-Texas Tech is the answer. These two teams hit 100 every time they play anymore. This leaves great plays in a DFS environment.

DraftKings gives us seven prime time games for our night tournament, and there are some huge offensive numbers going on. Every time Oklahoma and Texas Tech play, they break triple digits. We need to stack that game and fill in the rest.

Before you ask, no. I don’t trust any offensive component of the LSU or Alabama offenses for the price. This is going to be a defensive battle, and if you play on a site where you can use a defense, use Alabama. It will be more than worth it!

The scoring for NCAA football is much the same as it is for the NFL with one notable exception: the super flex! That means aside from the flex position which is RB/WR, you can add another player from any position! Want four running backs? Go right ahead! Five wide receivers? Sure! Two quarterbacks? Of course! Just stay under the salary cap! There is also late swap, which is essential for contests with start times spanning several hours.

DFS CFB: HOUSTON, TX – SEPTEMBER 8: D’Eriq King #4 of the Houston Cougars passes against the Arizona Wildcats in the first quarter at TDECU Stadium on September 8, 2018 in Houston, Texas. (Photo by Thomas B. Shea/Getty Images)

DraftKings College Football Picks November 2

Top Tier:

D’Eriq King or Kyler Murray? There is no wrong answer here. Judging by the way the last half dozen or so Oklahoma-Texas Tech matchups have gone, I give Murray the slight edge. The savvy ones will try to cram both in there with value plays from high scoring games.

Alan Bowman is the poor man’s Murray, but he could end up having the better game. Bowman threw for over 600 yards on the Houston defense earlier this year. Oklahoma’s is nearly that bad. Put in both Murray and Bowman for the ultimate game stacking experience.

Middle Tier:

Justin Herbert was awful last week against Arizona. That is going to keep a lot of people off of him, but there is a great chance for a rebound here against UCLA, who is statistically the worst defense in the Pac 12. That’s saying a lot!

I’m not trusting Tua, Jalen Hurts, or Ian Book against really good defenses. I would rather take a shot with Daniel Jones against a struggling Miami defense despite the numbers saying it’s a bad idea.

I mentioned what Bowman did to the Houston D earlier this year. Ben Hicks is a strong option because of that, and comes at a fraction of the price.

Bargain Shoppers:

If you have read any of my stuff in the past, you know I’m not a big fan of Wilton Speight. However, with the cheap price, if he starts against Oregon, I will use him at that price. I’m a bigger fan of DTR if he plays though.

J’Mar Smith is the Louisiana Tech offense. Mississippi State’s defense looked really good last week, but throwing a cheap dart with Smith is not the worst idea I’ve ever heard. Playing Burrow or whatever turnover prone QB Miami throws back there is a worse decision.

NORMAN, OK – OCTOBER 27: Running back Kennedy Brooks #26 of the Oklahoma Sooners scores against the Kansas State Wildcats at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on October 27, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma. (Photo by Brett Deering/Getty Images)

DraftKings College Football Picks November 2

Top Tier:

After what Northwestern did to Jonathan Taylor last week, I’m not using Williams here. CJ Verdell is a MUCH better option against a porous UCLA front.

Here’s the keys, Kennedy Brooks. Go nuts! He will regardless of Sermon’s status!

Middle Tier:

If Joshua Kelley can still put up 18 DraftKings points on a stout Utah defense, he is a must play against Oregon. I would consider both Brooks and Kelley two of the better bargains on the slate even at mid range prices. They both have enormous upside.

I’m willing to take a chance on whichever Mississippi State running back is healthy enough to start this game. Louisiana Tech’s pass defense has been sneaky good, but their run D has struggled, especially against more physical teams. We could see a good night for one or both Bulldog backs.

Bargain Shoppers:

Braeden West has double digit DraftKings points in five straight games. It looks like SMU finally has their first workhorse back since Zack Line.

You know, Trey Sermon still looks pretty cheap at $5,200. I’m not opposed to using both Oklahoma backs here. It’s better than trying to figure out Texas Tech’s muddled backfield situation.

DraftKings
HOUSTON, TX – OCTOBER 27: Marquez Stevenson #5 of the Houston Cougars runs for a 15 yard touchdown as he is blocked by Terence Williams #22 and Keenan Murphy #77 in the first quarter against the South Florida Bulls on October 27, 2018 in Houston, Texas. (Photo by Bob Levey/Getty Images)

DraftKings College Football Picks November 2

Top Tier:

Marquez Stevenson has 64 DraftKings points over the last two games. If you are even considering anyone else as the top WR, you’re doing this wrong. It’s not even close on this slate.

You know I’m a big fan of Hollywood Brown, but I would rather go value with an Oklahoma receiver pair Antoine Wesley with Stevenson. That could be a lethal combination. Lethal enough to pay down at quarterback and still have a chance to take the whole thing down.

Middle Tier:

You can’t really consider CeeDee Lamb a value pick at $7,500 anymore. Honestly, I think I like Jeff Proche better at $100 less just because he is far and away the best receiver SMU has and he has a great matchup against Houston’s secondary. Reggie Roberson has been huge in recent weeks as well, and has a nice rapport with Ben Hicks.

Ja’Deion High still has some issues with drops, but his target numbers are still ridiculous. Oklahoma hasn’t faced a passing team with this newfangled defense yet, so I don’t totally trust it. The Red Raiders are going to throw for over 500, so high and Wesley are both elite targets.

Bargain Shoppers:

Flynn Nagel is an interesting value pick simply because Notre Dame has been burned deep at times this year. Whether Thorson can get him the ball deep or not is going to determine whether Nagel has any value or not. For this price, it’s worth checking into.

I do like Caleb Wilson no matter who is under center. Wilson is the most targeted receiver with Speight back there, and he put up strong numbers with DTR back there recently as well.

Lee Morris and Grant Calcaterra are great ways to get cheap exposure to the OU offense. If you are paying up in a game stack, go with the expensive Tech receivers and fill with Oklahoma value.
