The Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 9 are probably going to look a little weird with so many teams out of action this week but we’re here to break it all down!

This week is one of those weeks that fantasy owners dread. There’s a ton of studs on the sidelines this week due to bye weeks so the ranks are at the same time a challenge and somewhat easy. It’s difficult because you don’t feel comfortable with some of these names. It’s also easy because well…you can’t start anyone else so let’s dig into the Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 9 in the NFL.

Fantasy Football Rankings Quarterback

1. Cam Newton, vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

2. Patrick Mahomes, at Cleveland Browns – One of the few times Mahomes will not be ranked number one

3. Jared Goff, at New Orleans Saints

4. Aaron Rodgers, at New England Patriots

5. Tom Brady, vs Green Bay Packers – Both quarterbacks in this game are in prime spots

6. Drew Brees, vs Los Angeles Rams

7. Kirk Cousins, vs Detroit Lions

8. Ryan Fitzpatrick, at Carolina Panthers – Crazy Eyes rides again

9. Matthew Stafford, at Minnesota Vikings – It tells you how rough quarterback is this week that Stafford is this high

10. Deshaun Watson, at Denver Broncos

11. Ben Roethlisberger, at Baltimore Ravens

12. Mitchell Trubisky, at Buffalo Bills

13. Russell Wilson, vs Los Angeles Chargers

14. Matt Ryan, at Washington Redskins – This is a tough spot for Ryan and the Falcons offense

15. Baker Mayfield, vs Kansas City Chiefs

16. Philip Rivers, at Seattle Seahawks

17. Alex Smith, vs Atlanta Falcons – It’s a shame such a glorious matchup is likely to be wasted on Smith

18. Joe Flacco, vs Pittsburgh Steelers

19. Dak Prescott, vs Tennessee Titans

20. Brock Osweiler, vs New York Jets – The Jets aren’t spectacular but it is Brock Lobster

21. Case Keenum, vs Houston Texans

22. Marcus Mariota, at Dallas Cowboys

Fantasy Football Rankings Running Backs

1. Todd Gurley, at New Orleans Saints

2. Kareem Hunt, at Cleveland Browns

3. Alvin Kamara, vs Los Angeles Rams – Kamara could be a great safety valve if Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh cave in the New Orleans offensive line

4. Christian McCaffrey, vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

5. Melvin Gordon, at Seattle Seahawks – This is a little tentative give his hamstring issue. Austin Ekeler would be around a top-20 back for me if Gordon sits.

6. Ezekiel Elliott, vs Tennessee Titans

7. James White, vs Green Bay Packers – I’m not sure if Sony Michel is playing or how much of his normal work he would see

8. James Conner, at Baltimore Ravens

9. Latavius Murray, vs Detroit Lions – Please just sit out Dalvin Cook. Don’t do this to us

10. Adrian Peterson, vs Atlanta Falcons

11. Jordan Howard, at Buffalo Bills – I think Howard is in line for another 18+ carries this week

12. Nick Chubb, vs Kansas City Chiefs – Volume, volume, volume

13. Phillip Lindsay, vs Houston Texans

14. Chris Carson, vs Los Angeles Chargers

15. Lamar Miller, at Denver Broncos – Denver has been beat up on the ground lately

16. Tarik Cohen, at Buffalo Bills

17. Mark Ingram, vs Los Angeles Rams

18. Isaiah Crowell, at Miami Dolphins

19. Kerryon Johnson, at Minnesota Vikings – Hopefully he stays involved in the passing game, especially with the departure of Golden Tate

20. Aaron Jones, at New England Patriots

21. Kenyan Drake, vs New York Jets

22. Sony Michel, vs Green Bay Packers – It’s shaping up like he would play but you can never be sure with the Patriots

23. Dion Lewis, at Dallas Cowboys

24. Alex Collins, vs Pittsburgh Steelers

25. Austin Ekeler, at Seattle Seahawks – He could be more involved if Gordon is limited in any capacity

26. Tevin Coleman, at Washington Redskins

27. LeSean McCoy, vs Chicago Bears – I really wish McCoy had be traded to a better team at the deadline

28. Peyton Barber, at Carolina Panthers

29. Frank Gore, vs New York Jets

30. Duke Johnson, vs Kansas City Chiefs

Fantasy Football Rankings Wide Receiver

1. Adam Thielen, vs Detroit Lions

2. Antonio Brown, at Baltimore Ravens – I feel like AB is going to come up big this week

3. Davante Adams, at New England Patriots

4. DeAndre Hopkins, at Denver Broncos

5. Michael Thomas, vs Los Angeles Rams

6. Brandin Cooks, at New Orleans Saints – Cooks makes good on his revenge game the second time around

7. Mike Evans, at Carolina Panthers

8. Julio Jones, at Washington Redskins

9. Tyreek Hill, at Cleveland Browns – Provided he’s healthy and ready to go, he’s a top 10 lock

10. Robert Woods, at New Orleans Saints

11. Stefon Diggs, vs Detroit Lions – Keep an eye on his rib injury

12. Jarvis Landry, vs Kansas City Chiefs

13. Julian Edelman, vs Green Bay Packers – This game should be a shootout

14. Keenan Allen, at Seattle Seahawks

15. John Brown, vs Pittsburgh Steelers

16. Emmanuel Sanders, vs Houston Texans

17. Cooper Kupp, at New Orleans Saints – Kupp is on track to lay and his ceiling is much higher if his knee is right

18. Devin Funchess, vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

19. JuJu Smith-Schuster, at Baltimore Ravens

20. Josh Gordon, vs Green Bay Packers

21. Courtland Sutton, vs Houston Texans – This could be the true breakout game for the rookie receiver

22. Sammy Watkins, at Cleveland Browns – The floor is low but the ceiling is immense

23. Kenny Golladay, at Minnesota Vikings

24. DeSean Jackson, at Carolina Panthers

25. Marvin Jones, at Minnesota Vikings – It’s going to be fascinating to see Golladay and Jones in their new roles

26. D.J. Moore, vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

27. Michael Crabtree, vs Pittsburgh Steelers

28. Doug Baldwin, vs Los Angeles Chargers

29. Chris Godwin, at Carolina Panthers

30. DeVante Parker, vs New York Jets – That’s one of the more uncomfortable rankings all season

31. Corey Davis, at Dallas Cowboys

32. Tyler Lockett, vs Los Angeles Chargers

33. Calvin Ridley, at Washington Redskins

34. Tre’Quan Smith, vs Los Angeles Chargers

35. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, at New England Patriots

Fantasy Football Rankings Tight End

1. Travis Kelce, at Cleveland Browns – The Chiefs offense is an absolute machine and Kelce is  one of the main reasons why from a skill player position

More from FanSided

2. Greg Olsen, vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers – He started to play better this past week and now he gets one of the best possible matchups

3. O.J. Howard, at Carolina Panthers – It seems totally crazy to have Howard ahead of some others, but he’s been a consistent force in the offense and the Panthers are also terrible against tight ends

4. Rob Gronkowski, vs Green Bay Packers – I don’t know what’s been up with Gronk this year but he can smash any given week

5. David Njoku, vs Kansas City Chiefs – It can’t get worse than last week but the target share he’s commanded all year speaks more than an outlier game

6. Jimmy Graham, at New England Patriots – George Kittle and Jared Cook would have been ranked higher than Graham but he’s still top 10

7. Vance McDonald, at Baltimore Ravens – So, tight end is pretty rough this week with McDonald this high

8. Trey Burton, at Buffalo Bills – I don’t expect the Bears to do much in the passing game but maybe Burton finds the end zone here

9. Ben Watson, vs Los Angeles Rams – I’ll take any piece of this game that I can find

10. Chris Herndon, at Miami Dolphins – Miami has gotten scorched by tight ends so hopefully Herndon can score for the fourth straight week

11. Austin Hooper, at Washington Redskins – The Atlanta offense might have a rough time so maybe Hooper session a couple more targets

12. Jordan Reed, vs Atlanta Falcons – It’s a great matchup but Reed also hasn’t had a good year at all

13. Kyle Rudolph, vs Detroit Lions – He’s not getting a lot of work in this offense right now

14. Ed Dickson, vs Los Angeles Chargers – Can he replicate last week?

15. Hayden Hurst, vs Pittsburgh Steelers – Baltimore has a crowded tight end room but Pittsburgh has struggled against the position
