Here’s everything you need to know about the Florida-Missouri game, including how to watch, stream and bet.
The SEC is full of great games this weekend, and although neither of these teams are division leaders, it’s certainly one to keep an eye on. Both the Florida Gators and Missouri Tigers are coming off of tough losses. Florida was looking to make a big statement against Georgia to take position at the top of the SEC East, but fell 36-17 in Jacksonville. Missouri’s was a bit more heartbreaking, giving up a touchdown to Kentucky on an untimed down to lose 15-14. Now, both are looking to respond in a big way.
For the Gators, a lot of pressure falls on the defense to create stops and give their struggling offense good field position. Their front seven is dominant, led by Cece Jefferson, Jachai Polite and Vosean Joseph. They only give up 19 points per game, but this will be a big test.
Missouri quarterback Drew Lock is having an up-and-down season, but his arm talent always warrants attention, especially with the thin secondary that the Gators have at the moment. He will push the ball down the field and look for Albert Okwuegbunam as much as possible, as he creates a mismatch on the field.
It will be important for the offense of the Gators to capitalize on the good field position they will get from the defense. Felipe Franks has had pedestrian games of late, and a couple big plays from him could ignite the Gators offense. That, plus a good ground game led by Lamichal Perine, will give Florida an advantage.
Missouri will have to create their own opportunities on defense for Lock. Lock has the ability to change the game, and he will need to avoid mistakes and play an efficient game.
