Watch Lee Corso’s headgear pick on College GameDay: Alabama or LSU?
College GameDay will travel to Baton Rouge, LA for an epic clash between Alabama and LSU. Which school’s mascot hear will Lee Corso choose to close the show?
College GameDay will return on Saturday, Nov. 3 for another edition of Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, Maria Taylor and other ESPN experts to discuss the weekend’s slate of college football. It kicks off everything before the games start at 12:00 p.m. ET.
This might be GameDay‘s biggest trip of the year, however, when it goes to Baton Rouge, LA for a clash of SEC heavyweights, Alabama vs. LSU, the No. 1 and 3 teams in the nation, respectively.
It’s essentially a College Football Playoff game for these teams. Even though a loss like this won’t hurt either school too much, it still dampens their chances at the top four while other schools attempt to take advantage.
As always, to close each edition of GameDay, Corso will make his headgear selection to bridge the day’s slate of games. It’s always a dramatic moment, and with these top teams, it makes this selection even more anticipated. So who will the former college coach choose?
The Crimson Tide remain perfect entering this game. They sit at 8-0, but without any tests this season. Texas A&M came to Tuscaloosa in September, resulting in a multi-touchdown performance.
The most recent win happened against Tennessee, 58-21. They were led by 304 passing yards and four touchdowns from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, a potential Heisman Trophy candidate.
As for the Tigers, their one blemish came in a loss to Florida, 27-19. Otherwise, their defense has driven them to success and big wins, including over Georgia and Mississippi State.
Despite hyping up the crowd and playing the LSU fight song, Corso trolled the Baton Rouge crowd by putting on the Crimson Tide headgear.
Considering how dominant Alabama has been, no one can really blame Corso for going with the Crimson Tide. We’ll see if his right on the national stage on Saturday night.
