The Ohio State Buckeyes were able to get a bye week to process their shocking loss to Purdue. This weekend, the Nebraska Cornhuskers are looking to find a way to shock Ohio State again.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers started this season by losing six consecutive games. Nebraska came close to getting a in the win column on a couple of different occasions, but it took all the way until the Cornhuskers’ game against Minnesota in late October for a win to actually happen. And that’s when the dam broke! Nebraska beat Minnesota soundly and then knocked Bethune Cookman over as well the following week, which just so happened to be last week.

Now, the Nebraska Cornhuskers are riding a two-game winning streak right into Columbus, Ohio. They’ll find that winning against Ohio State there is not as easy as winning against teams like Minnesota or Bethune Cookman anywhere. The Buckeyes have a completely different level of talent on their roster than what the Huskers have seen from their last couple of foes.

But things are a bit uneasy for Ohio State right now. It’s true that the Buckeyes are a highly ranked team and have torn through most of the Big Ten up to this point. It’s true that they’ve got a Heisman contender at quarterback. But with the situation surrounding Urban Meyer, Nick Bosa leaving the program, and the 29-point loss to 4-4 Purdue, things aren’t exactly normal for the Buckeyes right now.

All of that said, this is a game and an opponent that Ohio State should defeat with ease. The Cornhuskers only have two wins this season and they’ve come against teams that are much weaker than the Buckeyes. It would take a complete and total collapse for Urban Meyer’s team to lose here.
