Real Madrid vs. Valladolid live stream: Watch La Liga online
By Warren Pegg
Real Madrid face Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, Nov. 3. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
With the luckless head coach Julen Lopetegui finally being given his marching orders, Santiago Solari has been promoted from managing the reserve side to take charge of Real Madrid’s first team. Although he was never a star, Solari spent five seasons at Madrid as a player during the club’s first Galacticos era, but few people expect the Argentine to stay in charge for more than a week or two. Antonio Conte remains the favorite to be appointed permanently, with the likes of Arsene Wenger and Roberto Martinez also rumored to be in contention. Madrid have only earned a single point from their past five league matches, so it shouldn’t be too hard for Solari to improve the club’s fortunes, even if his tenure only lasts a fortnight.
Back in La Liga for the first time since 2014, Valladolid created headlines at the beginning of September when the real/Brazilian/toothy Ronaldo bought a majority stake in the club for £27 million. As a player, Ronaldo was associated with the biggest-spending sides in world football, not least during his half-decade stint with today’s opponents, but Valladolid are a club of considerably more modest means: their most expensive summer signing, midfielder Ruben Alcaraz, cost just £900,000. Despite having been the highest scorers in the Spanish second division last season, during this campaign Valladolid’s success has been based on the second-best defense in La Liga – only Madrid’s cross-city rivals Atleti have conceded fewer goals. They currently sit in sixth position in the table, three places above Madrid.

Madrid’s performance in El Clasico was much better than the eventual 5-1 scoreline suggested, and they’ll be looking for redemption today.
