The Week 11 AP Top 25 sees LSU tumble out of the top 3 after losing to Alabama and you won’t believe how far Florida fall after losing to Missouri.

It was billed as Statement Saturday by ESPN with a handful of marquee games that had conference championship and playoff implications. For the most part, the games didn’t live up to the hype, but it was still a great week for fans of college football.

Last week saw 11 ranked teams lose, but there wasn’t the same level of carnage this week. The middle portion of the Top 25 is where the bulk of the damage was where seven teams lost.

Of course, the carnage begins in the SEC where No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 LSU met as did No. 6 Georgia and No. 9 Kentucky with the West and East divisions on the line. In the end, neither game was that dramatic as the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs won comfortably and will meet in the SEC Championship Game, a rematch of last year’s National Championship Game.

The Crimson Tide is the unanimous No. 1 team in the Week 11 AP Top 25 after their 29-0 win at LSU who fell from No. 3 to No. 9. West Virginia had one of the biggest wins of the weekend with their last-second win over Texas, punctuated with a game-winning two-point conversion to win by a point. The Mountaineers moved up five spots to No. 7.

The biggest riser this week is Syracuse who moves up nine spots to No. 13. Boston College was another beneficiary, moving up seven spots to No. 17 as the ACC begins to make some noise outside of Clemson.

This week’s biggest losers are Florida who fell to unranked Missouri who dropped six spots to No. 19. The largest drop comes courtesy of Penn State who dropped seven spots to No. 21.
