Fantasy Basketball Plays: DraftKings NBA Lock Plays 11/6
By Shaun Evans
Hey Guys! Today we have a small slate, just 4 games to dig through but lets find out who our “Lock Plays” are and cash out!
Fantasy Basketball DraftKings NBA Lock Plays Recap
Monday started out like a true fantasy basketball Monday for myself and I barely hit on the lock plays as McGruder and Myles Turner struggled in their close games. Rodney McGruden finished with 21.25 fantasy points as the Miami Heat went into overtime.
Myles Turner finished with 16 points, Kyle Lowry almost went above value but since the Raptors blew out the Jazz, he finished with 47.25 points. Tobias Harris went above and beyond and scored 42.5 points and Danil Gallinari returned value with 31.5 fantasy points.
Fantasy Basketball DraftKings NBA Lock Plays: Point Guard
Salary: $9,300
Kemba Walker has been playing on a different level this season and has a pretty good match-up on this short slate facing the Atlanta Hawks. He is averaging 28 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists on the season already.
Also another positive for Walker in this game is that Atlanta has the most possessions per game with 110 while Charlotte has 103, meaning this game will be fast paced. Also this game has the highest point total with 231.
Now on the defending end, the Hawks are ranked 27th against Point Guards, allowing them 23 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists a game giving Kemba Walker a bright opportunity.
Fantasy Basketball DraftKings NBA Lock Plays: Shooting Guard
Salary: $6,500
Sticking in the same game, Nicolas Batum is in a good spot also with an affordable price tag. Averaging 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assist a game, Batum is facing the Hawks also who rank 23rd against shooting guards.
The Hawks are allowing shooting guards to put up a high point total with 29 points but low on assist with just 4 per game. We already know what to expect with the pace of this game. so expect a pairing of Kemba Walker and Batum to be on the chalkier side as people look to stack the highest point total game of the day.
Fantasy Basketball DraftKings NBA Lock Plays: Small Forward
Salary: $5,300

Markieff Morris has been on a dominance spree when he isn’t attending to the concussion protocol and tonight should be no difference. Since coming back, he scored 14.5 fantasy points on Friday and then 36.5 fantasy points on Sunday. With having yesterday off, expect for Morris to have a game tonight.
Averaging 12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists per game, he gets to face a Dallas Mavericks team that ranks 27th against small forwards. Dallas is giving up 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assist to the position on the season so far.
The Washington Wizards have the 5th ranked possessions per game with 108 while the Dallas Mavericks are ranked 13th with 105 possessions per game. The current points total for tonight’s game is at 225 but we do have to factor in the mess that the Wizards have been looking like.
Fantasy Basketball DraftKings NBA Lock Plays: Power Forward
“The Greek Freak” Giannis Antetokounmpo
Salary: $12,600
The Greek Freak rarely has an off night and with the season he is having, I don’t expect one to happen soon. Yes, the price tag is concerning and can make it a little more difficult to roster other top tier players but there are ways around it.
Antetokounmpo gets to face the Portland Trailblazers who rank 18th against forwards, giving up 24 points, 12 rebounds per game which lines up almost perfectly with what Antetokounmpo is averaging.
The Greek Freak is averaging a double double on the season with 26 points and 14 rebounds, while almost averaging 6 assist per game. The man is tough to stop. Being the second highest points total on the night, the Milwaukee Bucks are ranked 6th in possessions per game with 108 and the Trailblazers are ranked 12th with 105 per game, making this another nice match up for our lock play.
Fantasy Basketball DraftKings NBA Lock Plays: Center
Salary: $5,200
Probably in the best match-up tonight, Jarrett Allen gets to face the Phoenix Suns who rank dead last in defending Centers. Allen is currently averaging 11 points and 8 rebounds per game and the Phoenix Suns are giving up 27 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocks to the position.
The downside to this match-up is that the points total is the lowest with 219 and the two teams have the slower pace of the slate. The Brooklyn Nets average 103 possessions while Phoenix is averaging 102 possessions. While the pace and points total isn’t there, the Suns can not stop any centers they face, giving Allen the “Lock” title of the night.
