Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Tuesday night November 6th 2018! Tonight we have a 9 game slate to dissect today.

Of the 10 teams that played Monday, four of them are on the second of a back to back NHL DFS, tonight, which could be a place to exploit especially with Edmonton, New Jersey, and Dallas who having to travel some distance after playing road games on Monday.

Montreal just has to hop on the NYC Subway and head up to MSG for tonight’s game after playing in Brooklyn last night. Unlike last night we have a plethora of top goaltending options available on tonight’s slate.

Because of this we have to find the best spots to use for play choices and make sure to check the starting goaltenders to see if we get some back ups in net to pick on. We do have some of the league’s top offenses on this slate including Toronto, Vancouver, San Jose, Carolina, and Columbus.

NHL DFS Goalies

My top goalie on the slate is Andrei Vasilevskiy who gets the Oilers on the second night of a back to back. Vasilevskiy has won 4 of his last 5 starts and has only allowed 9 goals in those 5 starts. Overall on the season Vasilevskiy is 7-2 with a 1.98 GAA and .935 SV%.

I am also interested in using Henrik Lundquist against Montreal on a back to back. Hank has won 2 straight allowing only 4 goals in those 2 games. Also an option for Tuesday night is Jacob Markstrom of the Canucks as they head into Motown to take on the Red Wings. Markstrom’s season numbers are not great, but he was won 4 of 5 and gets what looks to be an easy game on paper for this Canucks.

Martin Jones has been finding his legs of late and has won 4 of 5 also with his only loss coming in a shootout. On the season Jones’ numbers are getting much better he has climbed back up to a .900 SV% and a 2.69 GAA.

NHL DFS Top Individual Players

Top Tier:

Timo Meier ($7.4K)- Meier is having a career year. The 22-year-old is already half way to his career high of 21 goals and in his last 5 games Meier has 6 goals and 2 assists. Meier plays on the Sharks second line with Logan Couture and Tomas Hertl and also sees time on the Sharks second PP unit.

Vladimir Tarasenko ($7.3K)- After a slow start Tarasenko is starting to pick up steam has he 4 goals and an assist in his last 4 and is averaging over 6 FPPG in those 4 games as well. St Louis gets a matchup with Carolina at home who have given up 3 goals per game over their last 4 games.

Dylan Larkin ($6.8K)- While I may have suggested Markstrom as a strong play against the Wings, I also don’t expect a shutout. If anyone is going to get some offense going for the Wings it’ll most likely be Larkin. Over his last 5 Larking has 2 goals and 6 assists and averaging 7 FPPG over his teams last 4 games. You can stack Larkin with Anthony Mantha ($4.5) and Mike Green ($4.8K) for a top PP unit stack.

Mid Tier:

Eric Staal ($6.4)- Staal has been playing extremely well of late and while he does get a tough matchup against Martin Jones, it is another situation where I like the goalie, but he isn’t pitching a shutout most likely. Staal has 3 goals and 3 assists in his last 4 games and is averaging around 7 FPPG.

Thomas Chabot ($6K)- On the season Chabot has 3 goals and 14 assists for the Sens and his breakout year has been continuing as of late with 6 assists over hist last 5 games. Chabot is also averaging almost 5 FPPG during the same 5 game stretch. Chabot plays on the Senators first D pair and first PP unit.

Rickard Rakell ($5.7K)- Los Angeles has lost their top goalie in Jonathan Quick and it will be either Jack Campbell or Peter Budaj in net, and neither is a top NHL goaltender. I definitely want exposure to the Ducks and Rakell has been playing well enough to consider a top option in the mid tier. Rakell has 1 goal and 4 assists over his last 5 games and is averaging over 4 FPPG in the same 5 games.

Value Tier:

Patrick Marleau ($4.4K)- There is not much value tonight despite the 9 game slate, but Marleau is a good pick for a team that should score a a bunch on Tuesday night. Marleau has 2 goals in back to back games and just under 5 FPPG in the same two games.

Devin Shore ($4.3K)- Shore is playing on the Stars top line along side Tyler Seguin and Mattias JanmarkOver his last 5 games Shore has 2 goals and 3 assists while playing about 15 minutes a game. Shore also sees time on the second power play unit for the Stars

Jake Virtanen($4.1K- Virtanen has been playing on the 3rd line for the Canucks and has 3 goals in his last 3 games and has averaged almost 5 FPPG and plays on the Canucks 2nd PP unit.

NHL DFS Top Line Stacks

Vancouver 2 – Nikolay GoldobinElias PetterssonLoui ErikssonPettersson is one of the best young players in the game but he isn’t as well known as he should be because of where plays. This line will most likely net a goal or 2 in Detroit

Carolina 1 – Micheal FerlandSebastian AhoTeuvo TeravainenThis is one of the top lines in all of hockey and these three are 1-2-3 in scoring for the Hurricanes.

More from FanSided

Toronto 1 – Zach HymanJohn TavaresMitch MarnerThis line has played the 4th most minutes together in the league and has scored 10 goals when all three are on the ice
