After three games, Tottenham and PSV Eindhoven are level on one point after settling for a 2-2 draw in Eindhoven. With three games left in the group stage, both teams desperately need to win on Wednesday and get some help from Barcelona or Inter Milan.
Tottenham have won eight of 11 games in the Premier League to sit fourth in the table. However, in the Champions League, Spurs have struggled, allowing at least two goals in each of their first three games. Spurs will be without Jan Vertonghen, who is dealing with a hamstring injury. Mauricio Pochettino will rely on a center-back pairing of Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld. Up front, Tottenham will lean on Harry Kane to find the back of the net. In all competitions this season, Kane has scored eight goals. Dele Alli will likely be able to play against PSV. Alli has only played in two games since suffering a hamstring injury in late September.
PSV are challenging some of the great Dutch teams in history after winning their 11th straight game to open the Eredivisie season. The PSV front three of Hirving Lozano, Luuk de Jong, and Gaston Pereiro have combined for 29 goals in all competitions. The trio will lead the attack for Mark van Bommel’s side on Tuesday. In addition to being a strong attacking team, PSV have allowed only four goals in the Eredivisie. However, the Eindhoven side have struggled to defend in their Champions League games, allowing eight goals in three games.
