Hey guys! We’re heading into a 10 game slate on this beautiful Wednesday! Lets dive in to see who we should be locking in to get the upper hand on our daily contests and leagues.

Fantasy Basketball DraftKings NBA Lock Plays: Point Guard

Zach LaVine

Salary: $8,500

The Chicago Bulls can’t find the winning side that often this early season but that doesn’t stop Zach LaVine from shining. As the Chicago Bulls are 3-8, Zach LaVine is averaging 28 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assist per game so far. A great fantasy basketball asset.

In his last five games, LaVine has scored 35.75, 48.75, 38, 33, and 60 fantasy points. Tonight he gets to face the New Orleans Pelicans who rank last against opposing point guards. The Pelicans are giving up 30 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assist to the position on the season so far.

The Chicago Bulls do rank 17th in possessions per game with 104 while the New Orleans Pelicans rank 8th with 108. Even if the Bulls struggle, expect Zach LaVine to still have a good outing.

Fantasy Basketball DraftKings NBA Lock Plays: Shooting Guard

DeMar DeRozan

Salary: $9,200

What I believe to be a beautiful fit, DeMar DeRozan is a lock play facing the Miami Heat who struggle against the shooting guard position. Ranking 25th against shooting guards, Miami is giving up 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assist.

Now the stats aren’t all beautiful as they just mainly give up the points to shooting guards. DeRozan is averaging 27 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assist so far, fitting into his new role and team perfectly. While his best friend Kyle Lowry is in Toronto, doing him just as proud.

The Spurs are ranked 18th in possessions per game with 104 and the Miami Heat are ranked 10th with 107 possessions per game. If the pace is played quickly between the two teams then DeRozan should have a shot at exceeding his value around 47 points.

Fantasy Basketball DraftKings NBA Lock Plays: Small Forward

Brandon Ingram

Salary: $5,700

Brandon Ingram hasn’t had the prettiest season since his suspension, punching Chris Paul in the face. Lebron James has came to Los Angeles and has reduced the usage for many of the young guys but now, even Kyle Kuzma is taking over the usage of Brandon Ingram.

But the bright spot is that the Minnesota Timberwolves have a hard time stopping the small forward position. Ranking 21st against the position, they give up around 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assist, giving enough room for even Brandon Ingram to shine with the first unit or even off the bench.

Ingram is only averaging 15 points, 4 rebounds, and a lousy 1 assist per game, nothing to be excited about so far. But with Jimmy Butler taking whatever nights off, the Timberwolves are looking like a complete mess so far making this game a good opportunity for Brandon Ingram to provide value and salary relief.

Fantasy Basketball DraftKings NBA Lock Plays: Power Forward

Jabari Parker

Salary: $5,800

Don’t know why I always come back to Jabari Parker but when I do, it’s usually because he has a pretty nice match-up and I want to be in full tilt mode for the day. Parker gets to face the New Orleans Pelicans who seem to struggle against Power Forwards even though they have some good guys on the floor like Mirotic and Anthony Davis, sometimes Julias Randle when AD wants to sit out.

Ranking 27th, the Pelicans give up 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assist to Power Forwards. On the other hand, Parker is averaging 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assist per game. With a low salary, Parker also helps with salary relief while he should hit his value.

The possessions per game has already been mentioned for this game, making this game a good opportunity for Parker to finally actually do something and not putting any of us in tilt mode.

Fantasy Basketball DraftKings NBA Lock Plays: Center

Rudy Gobart

Salary: $8,000

With a pretty impressive Centers match-up in the Dallas Mavericks vs. Utah Jazz game, Rudy Gobart could be set up in a solid spot. Facing a Mavericks team that ranks 29th against the position, allowing 21 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assist, and 3 blocks to the position.

But it’ll be a battle for Gobart as he faces DeAndre Jordan who has also been solid lately. Gobart does average 17 points, 13 rebounds, with 2 blocks per game. In his last five games, he has gone  for 56, 51.75, 31.5, 31 and 36.5 fantasy points.

Being on the downside the last few games, the Jazz have been plagued with some injuries causing for a little more uneven playing field. As long as they have their true starting five, expect Gobart to be back to his normal playing style and racking up the fantasy points.

The Utah Jazz rank on the slower end for possessions per game with 103 while the Dallas Mavericks rank 13th with 106 possessions per game. Just keep an eye on injury news leading up to lock and if anything, you can use DeAndre Jordan instead who is cheaper and has had a solid few outings already.
