Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Friday night November 9th. Tonight is a big slate for a Friday with 6 games on this slate.

We have a big NHL DFS game between Winnipeg and Colorado, the Sharks are on a back to back, Lunqvist and the Rangers are in Motown, and there is a potential shootout with Columbus and Washington.

Looking over the slate there are some good goaltending options in the late games including Dubnyk and Gibson playing against each other, as well as Hellebuyck and Varlamov in the same game as well. For my offensive plays the Rangers are one of my favorite teams to use against a bad goaltender in Jimmy Howard, and both the Blue Jackets and Capitals.

NHL DFS Goalies:

Henrik Lundqvist is my top option in net with a good matchup against the Red Wings. Hank has won 3 straight starts and comes in sporting a good .922 SV% with a 2.64 GAA. Detroit has won 3 of 4 games but they have given up 12 goals in those 4 games and they were against some teams who have been reeling of late. I think the Rangers win this game and Lunqvist stifles the Wings.

Both Colorado and Winnipeg are in need of a win, but I think the Jets end up winning this one and that makes Connor Hellebuyck my second choice in net for the evening. Hellebuyck is affordable tonight as well at $8K on DraftKings (only $100 more than Lunqvist). Hellebuyck’s numbers aren’t great with a 3.01 GAA and a .907 SV%, but he is better than these numbers and tonight is going to be a good night for him.

Last I am going to ride John Gibson against a Minnesota team on the second night of a back to back. Gibson is one of the top 3 goalies in this league and was playing like it early in the season but fell on some hard times, but I think it has more to do with the fact Anaheim cannot play defense and Gibson sees 35-40 shots regularly. Even after the long losing streak Gibson and the Ducks were on Gibson has a .933 SV% and a 2.41 GAA.

NHL DFS Top Individual Players:

High Tier:

Vladimir Tarasenko ($7.1K) – Tarasenko has points in 5 straight games ( 4 g – 3a). San Jose is on a back to back and they will most likely get back up Aaron Dell in net for the Sharks. Tarasenko plays on the top line with Ryan O’Reilly ($6.9K) who has 5 goals in his last 3 games, and Jaden Schwartz

Mitch Marner ($6.9K) – Marner and the Leafs on a modest 2 game winning streak get the Devils in Toronto on Friday. Marner leads the Leafs in assists, 14, and points, 19 and has a goal and 5 assists in the last 5.

Blake Wheeler ($6.5K) – Wheeler hasn’t scored a goal since October 20, but has points in 8 straight games, 1 goal and 11 assists during the point streak. Mark Scheifele ($6.2K) centers the top line for the Jets with Wheeler and Nikolaj Ehlers

Mid Tier:

T.J. Oshie ($6.2K) – Oshie has 3 goals and an assist in the last 5 , and scored the game winner against Pittsburgh on Wednesday. Over the last 5 games Oshie is averaging close to 5 FPPG and is playing on the Caps second line as well as the top PP unit.

Morgan Rielly ($6.1K) – Rielly is the top D man on the Leafs and start the season out on fire but has since cooled down but is still putting up reasonably good numbers offensively. On the season Rielly as 6 goals and 12 assists, and has 2 and 2 over the last 4 games and has 18 FP over that stretch.

Nico Hischier ($5.4K) – Hischier is the last of the Devils to get a write-up from me on the season but that’s because he hasn’t been playing well up until recently. Nico has 6 points, all assists, over the last 6 games. Hischier centers NJ 1 and also plays on the first PP unit

Value Tier:

Kevin Hayes ($4.8K) – Kevin Hayes centers the Rangers 2nd line and 2nd PP unit. Over his last 4 games Hayes a goal and 4 assists as well as over 4 FPPG. Hayes plays with Chris Kreider ($5.7K) who is first on the Rangers in goals with 7 and second with 11 points.

Boone Jenner ($4.5K) – Jenner has been picking up fantasy points of late with 3 assists, 10 sog, and 3 blocked shots over the last 3 games. Jenner plays on Columbus 2 with Nick Foligno, and Josh Anderson.

Ian Cole ($4.3K) – Cole has been a pleasant surprise for the Av’s getting over 20+ minutes of TOI the last few games and has been picking up points via peripheral stats of late with 7 sog and 18 blocked shots in the Av’s last 5 games. Cole also added a goal and assists over the same time

NHL DFS Top Line Stacks:

Washington 1 – Alexander Ovechkin – Evgeny KuznetsovDmitrij Jaskin – This line is one of the best in hockey and Jaskin is just the next in a long line of wingers the Caps are using to try and find a perfect fit for Ovi and Kuz

Columbus 1 – Artemi PanarinPierre-Luc DuboisCam Atkinson – This line is the top three scorers for the Blue Jackets and this game could be high scoring and this line will most likely be involved in a couple of goals.

San Jose 3 (Value) – Barclay GoodrowJoe ThorntonMarcus Sorensen – This is not the best line for the Sharks but they have been putting up respectable numbers of late and could get you some exposure to the second highest scoring game on the slate

New York Rangers 3 – Jimmy VeseyBrett HowdenJesper Fast – This line features 3 of the Rangers top ten scorers and is quietly one of the best lines in the NHL right now. Another cheap line that can get you points and leave you salary for the top guys mentioned in the first two stacks here.
