The No. 17 Boston College Eagles will look to pull off the upset as they host No. 2 Clemson and ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday.

If any team in the nation can potentially stand up to the mighty Alabama Crimson Tide down the line, it might just be the Clemson Tigers. After all, they are one of the few programs that can boast a victory over the Crimson Tide on the big stage and the two seem like they’re on a warpath to meet in the College Football Playoff for a fourth straight season.

However, before anyone can jump right to the College Football Playoff, the last month of the season has to be played out first. On Saturday, the Tigers travel to take on No. 17 Boston College in what should be a huge contest. ESPN’s College GameDay will be live to break down the game.

The Tigers have been humming along with Trevor Lawrence at quarterback. The freshman has been a standout in college football and the offense is reaching its max potential under their new quarterback and a dynamic running game as well.

Last week, the Tigers hung 77 points on the woeful Louisville Cardinals and proved that they are beginning to play their best college football of the season. They’ve been featured in a College GameDay affair already this season, as they traveled to Texas A&M in Week 2.

Dabo Swinney has once again been pushing the right buttons for his program once again this season, and they have just a few more tests on the schedule before conference championship play and the eventual College Football Playoff Selection.

This will be a battle however, as the Eagles are stout at home, and if there’s any program that’s ripe to deliver a massive upset this week, it could very likely be them. It’s a big ACC showdown and College GameDay will air bright and early on Saturday.
