Week 10 was a disaster for me since I missed my nine and ten point picks. No one had a really great week. Only four in our group scored 40, and no one scored more than 41. This did cause some separation at the top though, and knocked me out of the top ten into 13th place.

If you would like to get in on the fun, join this group and compete head to head with the writers at Fantasy CPR and with fans like yourself! It’s not too late to join!

Newcomer Clay6805 now has the group lead with 389 points. mdaallen’s 41 point week leaves him just four points back. BrianPrete is only one point back in third place. Kev Shep! is only two points back of Brian. pitpenguins66 had a strong week to vault him into the top five by just one point over Jay_da_gr8_1.

Keepingthelittlehumansalive and earleyca are tied for seventh with 372 points. There is an eight point drop to ninth, held by BKNoleGirl. Protege21242 rounds out the top ten two points behind NoleGirl.

Again, there were no clean sweeps, but 26 out of 28 of us had Michigan. 25 had Notre Dame. Only mdaallen’s upset entry had Arizona State and SMU. The other 27 of us lost both of those.

These picks will be for the confidence version of the game, where you assign a point value from 1-10 based on how confident you are in each pick. I will publish mine here each week. If I make a change, I will just amend the original article. The least team picked was Washington State with ten of us, so most had the same picks. It was the point values that set us apart.

This looks like another tough week. How will the group do this time around?

(1) Troy over Georgia Southern:

I have a feeling this is going to be a really close game, and it could go either way. So far all of us picking this game feel the same. I still see Troy as the class of the Sun Belt, but this is going to be close and anything could happen. I’m not going too big on this one.

(2) Wisconsin over Penn State:

I think this game is going to be close since Wisconsin’s defense is still pretty good. The bugaboo for Penn State is the rush defense, so Wisconsin is more equipped to give them a run in this one. I’m on the fence because the deciding factor in this game will likely be which quarterback makes the worst mistake. I’m inclined to say Hornibrook, but it wont be if he doesn’t have to throw.

(3) Oregon over Utah

Utah just got run ragged by an Arizona State offense that is maybe half as explosive as this Oregon squad. I do have questions as to whether Oregon’s defense can keep Utah under 40, but they may not have to. Utah was exposed last week, and Oregon is about the worst possible matchup for them this week.

(4) Iowa over Northwestern:

This one is going to be a fight and a defensive struggle, so I am wary about putting this many on it. It is definitely possible for Northwestern to win this outright, but I have to think that Iowa takes it at home.

(5) Pittsburgh over Virginia Tech:

I have zero faith in the Hokies right now, and if Pitt weren’t so busy falling all over themselves every other week, I would put a lot more on this. Honestly, there are several games that were contenders for my top spot this week, and though this looks like one of those on the surface, Pitt is far too inconsistent to rely on for more than five this week.

(6) Ohio State over Michigan State:

The Buckeyes survived a scare last week, but quite frankly, Michigan State’s offense doesn’t have the talent to run the Buckeyes like Nebraska did. This is going to be a pretty low scoring game, but I still see Ohio State winning by double digits.

(7) Oklahoma over Oklahoma State:

They call this Bedlam for a reason. This is going to be closer than the spread suggests, but once again, Oklahoma has the clutch players, especially on offense to pull out the win no matter how many points the defense gives up.

(8) Washington State over Colorado:

The Colorado pass defense is going to be gouged here. This is not a good matchup for Colorado, especially with the way the Washington State defense is playing right now. Washington State could play a terrible game and let this stay close, but I really don’t see a scenario where they lose outright.

(9) Clemson over Boston College:

Talk this up all you want. Boston College is a very good story this year, but Clemson is on another level right now. The way that they have played lately, it looks like they may even have a shot at Alabama if they can keep this up. Maybe.

(10) Cincinnati over South Florida:

USF has been blasted two weeks in a row, and it’s going to be three. Cincinnati is rolling on both sides of the ball, and the Bulls are reeling. I smell blowout.
