Welcome to this edition of NBA FanDuel DFS Targets from FantasyCPR.com. Here you will find players to target for tonight’s action, geared for cash games and tournament plays on FanDuel.

Welcome to the Saturday edition of NBA FanDuel Targets for NBA DFS. First, I will go over players to target at each position for tonight’s seven-game main slate, starting an hour later than normal, at 8:00 PM ET.

I will give two targets at each of the guard and forward positions, and one center. Following the picks, will be the ever popular “sample lineup” we like to do here at FantasyCPR.  Some plays will be geared toward cash games, and some for GPP.

Some of course will also technically qualify as both. As we break each play down, I will be sure to specify which type of contests I am targeting that player in.

With NBA DFS, I can’t stress enough how important it is to not just plug-and-play these sample lineups. There is so much info that will drop over the course of the day for NBA, and you never truly know what to expect.

If you want to be a consistent winner for NBA, lock starts at 7PM ET on most week nights. Plan on being ready to tinker those lineups last second, accounting for all of that fabulous NBA news that nobody was expecting five minutes before, or even AFTER lock. It happens all of the time, so if you set your lineup now and forget it, it’s probably not going to work out for you in the long run.

NBA FanDuel What To Expect Tonight:

First thing of note tonight, is that game times are spread out throughout the day, and with just one game starting at 7:00 ET, and the rest after, FanDuel opted to leave the Phoenix/New Orleans match-up off of the slate. So no Anthony Davis, No Devin Booker… etc.. We still have seven games though, with plenty of fantasy goodness to sift through.

One thing we do have today, is some early injury news to make some decisions easier. The Golden State Warriors are banged up, and we already know Stephen Curry and Draymond Green will miss this game tonight at home against Brooklyn. This should mean big things from Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, and both make for great targets tonight.

We will also get some good value from this, as Curry’s back-up Quinn Cook becomes a solid play, as well as the trio of bigs in Kevon Looney, Jonas Jerebko, and Alfonso McKinnie. While there is still game total available for this one, a Golden State stack with Durant and Thompson along with Cook and McKinnie looks like a pretty good GPP starting point.

In other injury news, Russell Westbrook will remain out for the Thunder. Dennis Schroder continues to fill in, and also continues to be a shooting guard on FanDuel. At $7,200, the price has gotten just a bit too steep me for on this one, but I do like some other options.

Paul George should make for a nice pivot from Durant and LeBron, and Jerami Grant has put up a stretch of solid games in the absence of Westbrook.

Without further delay, let’s find out who tonight’s targets are.

NBA FanDuel DFS: Point Guards

Chris Paul – Houston Rockets – $8,200 – (GPP)

You ever wonder if people actually read these write-up’s, or just check out the names and skip to the sample lineup? I do… All the time. It doesn’t bother me. Not only do I get it, I am guilty of doing the same from time to time. But today, when it comes to what I have to say about the two point guard targets, you may want to pay attenton.

If you haven’t noticed by now, this is a hybrid type article, pointing out the top GPP play and top cash game play on the slate in my opinion. After the highlighted players, there are always the value plays at the bottom.

Sometimes those can be more important than the players I spent time writing about above them. Just something to keep in mind, as point guard is 100% a position to spend down at tonight in all formats, considering the value available.

The top two options in John Wall and Ben Simmons will both be on the tail end of a back-to-back, and both are completely off of my radar tonight. CP3 has not broken 35 FDP in three games since his monster 66.9 FDP outburst against the Nets, but if I had to pay up for some ownership leverage in a tournament, Paul would be my guy.

Rajon Rondo – Los Angeles Lakers – $5,600 – (Cash)

Again, pay down for the two guys below for tremendous value considering the spots that they are in, but pay attention to Lakers injury report as well. Lonzo Ball is questionable and looks like a game-time call at this point, and if he sits, Rondo likely becomes the chalk in cash games.

Maybe folks will be smart enough to realize that big minutes are in store for the two fellas below much cheaper, but that is neither here nor there. The Lakers will play the upstart Sacramento Kings, and points will be flying in this one. Rondo should have a solid game if Ball sits and he can break 30 minutes, but one last time… look down!

NBA FanDuel DFS: Shooting Guards

James Harden – Houston Rockets – $11,400 – (Cash/GPP)

It has now been three games since Harden returned from injury, and we are still yet to see that full explosiveness, and that monster game we are used to seeing from Harden. Because he has the ability to pop for 70+ FDP at any moment and break the slate, you have to take a second to consider being on him before he has that huge game, so you can reap the benefits.

His opponent DeMar DeRozan is a fine spot as well, and could also offer similar production at a better price. I can say for all intensive purposes my plan is to pay up at small forward and center in cash, so I will likely save Harden and/or DeRozan for my tournament teams, and pay down to our next target and a value play.

Klay Thompson – Golden State Warriors – $6,700 – (Cash)

Every DFS player has kryptonite. You know that one guy, where no matter how good of a spot he is in, whenever you roster him, he completely duds? That is Thompson for me. Granted, we know we need Curry out to even consider playing Klay considering he is sort of one-dimensional, but a stretch of good shooting has kept his FDP average at a respectable 30.2.

When we get to the sample lineup today you will see Thompson, but don’t miss the note below it today. I am personally torn between Thompson and Dennis Schroder, and my salary remaining will allow me to roster either. I am leaning Klay at this point, but it is very, very close.

Thompson is coming off of a 40.1 FDP outing against the Bucks, and the Nets are on the second leg of a back-to-back. My worry with Klay is that this game does not stay close, and he doesn’t quite get the minutes to put up the huge game.

***Value Plays: Jordan Clarkson $5,100 – Andre Iguodala $3,800***

NBA FanDuel DFS: Small Forwards

Kevin Durant – Golden State Warriors – $11,200 – (Cash)

Small forward is stacked at the top today, with three superstars all in smash spots, and priced relatively near each other. Durant is the odds on favorite to be chalk in this spot, as he is $600 less than LeBron James, and $800 more than Paul George. All three players are very much in play in tonight, and paying up for two might just be the way to go.

We love Durant when Curry is out, but add in the fact that Green is out as well and plenty will be riding on his shoulders. However, the Nets are coming to town on the second game of a back-to-back like I mentioned with Klay, and this game could get ugly fast.

Same can be said with James. While the Lakers are struggling and the Kings are actually on the up-and-up, Sacramento will also be on the second leg of a back-to-back after battling the Wolves in a high-scoring affair. This is a yound team so the legs should be there, but James should thrive in his spot as well. That brings us to our next target.

Paul George – Oklahoma City Thunder – $10,400 – (GPP)

Like Durant with the injury to Curry, the injury to Russell Westbrook creates a similar workload for PG13. George seems to have the average type games when Russ is around, but as soon as he is off the court things really open up for him.

This will be a interesting match-up with the Mavericks, as Harrison Barnes will likely be tasked with defending George for the most part. While it isn’t exactly an easy match-up, George will play some point guard, and the Thunder will find ways to get him involved with Westbrook on the shelf.

Two of three games in Westbrooks absensce led to 50+ FDP games for George. Most recently, he posted 59.2 FDP against the Rockets on Thursday, in a game in which he scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. What is even more impressive and possibly overlooked, is the fantasy points he generates on the defense end.

Steals are three points a piece on FanDuel in case you were unaware, and George had six of them the other night in that game against Houston.

In fact, over the last five games, PG13 is averaging 3.6 steals per game. That is an additional 10 FDP to your total every night. As long as Westbrook is out, George will be in play. The price is a little high for my liking but I get it.

***Value Plays: Kelly Oubre Jr. $4,500 – Alfonzo McKinnie $3,800***

NBA FanDuel DFS: Power Forwards

LaMarcus Aldridge – San Antonio Spurs – $8,100 – (Cash)

Aldridge is a hard guy to figure out. On this team, you would think with no Kawhi Leonard and the addition of DeMar DeRozan, Aldridge would maybe score a little less, but hopefully rebound more. Well he is certainly scoring less, as what used to be a guaranteed 20 a night or so is now tough to come by.

In fact, Aldridge has only scored over 20 points four times in ten games this year. On top of that, some nights he only has 3-6 rebounds, but he has had double-digit rebounds in half of the games thus far.

For all intensive purposes, Aldridge probably has the safer floor than our next target, but I would rather pay down $500 to roster the rookie in all formats. This is just the due diligence cash play, but some chalk I will definitely be pivoting off of.

Wendell Carter Jr – Chicago Bulls – $7,600 – (GPP)

Jabari Parker is finally putting together some nice games for the Bulls, and with Bobby Portis still on the shelf, him and the rookie Carter Jr. have been playing big minutes and posting solid numbers.

WCJ fouled out in just 22 minutes against the Knicks last time he found himself in this column, but was able to post 11 points and 13 rebounds in those limited minutes, which was good for 32.6 FDP.

Carter Jr. has double-doubled in points and rebounds in three straight, and has also added nine blocks in that span. He is playing better basketball than the veteran Aldridge at this moment, and I love the pivot down in what will almost certainly be lower ownership, and a better play.

It has now been six games since Carter Jr has been given extra run, and with two 40+ FDP games and one 59.1 FDP gem against the Nuggets, he has officially arrived. Get to know him.

***Value Plays: Jerami Grant $5,500 – Kevon Looney $4,500***

NBA FanDuel DFS: Center Targets

Joel Embiid – Philadelphia 76ers- $10,800 – (Cash/GPP)

Just another day at the office for Embiid last night, and normally after an overtime game and 37 minutes, I would probably stay away. But if there is no rest incoming, I am 100% locked in again.

Embiid was out of his mind last night, as the Sixers held off the Hornets in overtime by a score of 133-132.

He dropped 42 points and grabbed 18 rebounds, which was good for a ridiculous 78.6 FDP. Embiid will battle with Marc Gasol and the Grizzlies tonight in what looks like a tough match-up, but after just watching this game and seeing how fresh Embiid looked even after it was over, I see no reason to fade in any format.

Value Plays: DeAndre Jordan $7,900 – Jordan Bell $4,200***

NBA FanDuel DFS: Sample Cash Lineup 11/10/18:

The line-up below is meant to be illustrative only to further back-up the logic laid out in previous slides. It is not an optimal line-up. It is in fact, just a “Sample Lineup.”

PG – Quinn Cook – $4,400
PG – Collin Sexton – $4,400
SG – Klay Thompson – $6,700
SG – Jordan Clarkson – $5,100
SF – Kevin Durant – $11,200
SF – Alfonzo McKinnie – $3,800
PF – Wendell Carter Jr. – $7,600
PF – Jerami Grant – $5,500
C – Joel Embiid – $10,800

***This sample lineup has $500 left over. There is enough in salary to pivot from Carter Jr at PF to Aldridge, or from K Thompson at SG to Schroder. Remember to only use this info as a guideline!***
