Newcastle face Bournemouth at St. James’ Park on Saturday, Nov. 10. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Bournemouth are one of the smallest clubs in the Premier League but are outperforming their size this season. The Cherries are sixth in the Premier League with 20 points in their first 11 games. On Saturday, Bournemouth travel to Newcastle to play the Magpies at St. James’ Park. Newcastle are fighting to stay above the relegation zone again this season.
Rafa Benitez’s side picked up a much-needed win, their first win of the season last weekend against Watford. The win gives Newcastle six points, tied for the third fewest in the Premier League along with Huddersfield. The Magpies’ biggest problem this season been their inability to score goals. Newcastle have scored only seven goals and have failed to score in five games. While the Magpies have struggled to score, they are a good defensive side. Of the 14 goals that Newcastle have allowed, 11 have been scored by clubs in the big six. If Newcastle can keep playing well defensively, they might be able to steal enough points to avoid relegation again.
Bournemouth lost 2-1 to Manchester United after giving up a goal in the 92nd minute. The loss ended a four-game stretch that saw the Cherries pick up 10 games. Callum Wilson scored his sixth goal of the season against United. Wilson has had a great season, earning his first call-up to the English national team. Ryan Fraser and Joshua King have been part of a strong attack with Wilson. Fraser and King have combined to score seven goals and set up six goals.
