Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Saturday night November 1oth! Tonight we have an 8 game slate. This slate is weird that 7 of the 8 games are at 7 pm EST and then Calgary and Los Angeles drop the puck at 10 pm EST. We have 4 teams on the second night of a back to back with 2 of them playing each other in Columbus hosting the NY Rangers.

In contrast to Friday night, we have bunch of games with 6 or higher projected goal total which will make our goalie selections difficult but there are some good choices out there. We also get some of the top scoring teams in the league with 7 of the top 12 teams in goals for playing on Saturday night

NHL DFS Goalies:

My top pick for goalie tonight is Roberto Luongo as he and the Florida Panthers take on he Islanders. There aren’t many stats I can give you justify this pick because Bobby Lou has only played 2 games this season.

I will just tell you that Luongo did just return from injury a few days ago and recorded a 4-1 victory on Thursday night against the Oilers in which he made 26 saves to get the win. This was his second game back, earlier this month he beat the Jets making 32 saves on 34 shots.

Mike Smith is another option in net as he and the Flames head to La-La land to take on the lowest scoring team in the league in the Los Angeles Kings. Smith is a fringe cash game play if you are looking to save salary, he is more of a GPP play.

Marc-Andre Fleury is one of the top goalies in the league and has a winnable matchup with the Canadiens on Saturday night. In his last 3 starts Fleury has posted a .946 SV% and 2 wins in those 3 starts as well. It seems like Fleury is starting to turn back into the goalie was last season.

My last goalie choice on the night is Scott Darling who gets the Red Wings on the second night of a back to back. Darling, like Luongo, recently returned from injury and got his first W in 3 starts last time out against Chicago.

Darling has given up 3 goals in each of his first 3 starts but those were against some high scoring teams in Boston, and Chicago. Detroit is one of the bottom 4 teams in the league in goals scored so this seems to be a better matchup for Darling.

NHL DFS Top Individual Plays:

High Tier –

Steven Stamkos ($7.2K) – After and extremely slow start Stamkos is finally playing like the real Steven Stamkos. Over his last 4 games Stammer has 4 goals and 3 assists and has averaged 7 FPPG.

Evgenii Dadonov ($6.9K) – Dadonov is quietly having one of the best starts to the season of any player in the league, fantasy wise at least. He is yet to score a 0 this season and has only scored less than 2.5 points once this season. Dadonov has a 9 game point streak during which he has scored 6 goals and 5 assists.

Brad Marchand ($6.5K) – Marchand is the lowest priced of Boston’s first line but has been the most consistent of late. While he only has 3 goals and 1 assist over the B’s last 4 games he is averaging 5 FPPG. Marchand is also playing over 20 minutes per game and on the Bruins first PP unit with Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak

Mid Tier –

Morgan Rielly (6.4K) – Rielly can pretty much be written up for every slate he is on as he is arguable the best offensive defenseman in the league. Toronto has played Rielly a pretty consistent 23-26 minutes per game over the last 7 games so you know his minutes are secure .

Max Domi ($6.2K) – This is the second time this week I am writing up Max, but he is so hot right now he is almost a must play. Domi has a 5 game point streaky going with 4 goals and 4 assists during that time.

Mad Max also has 10 SOG during his point streak as well as playing 17-19 minutes per game. Domi currently centers the Habs line 2 with Jonathan Drouin and Andrew ShawShaw is a good value play as well tonight at only $3.2K on DK.

Matthew Tkachuk ($5.9K) – Tkachuk plays alongside Mikael Backlund and James Neal on the Flames second line and the Flames line 1 on the first PP unit. Tkachuk has 3 goals and 3 assists during his modest 4 game point streak.

Value Tier –

Shea Theodore ($4.8K) – Theodore scored 2 point in his first ten games, but since then he’s played 5 games and scored 1 goal and recording 4 assists, while playing 20 minutes per game.

Michael Grabner ($4.8K) – Arizona has been scoring goals like it’s going out of style and I don’t see it stopping against the Penguins on Saturday. Arizona has scored 26 goals over their last 6 games, and Grabner has 4 goals and 4 assists during that time .

Jimmy Vesey ( $4.1K) – Vesey has 2 goals and 2 assists over the Rangers last 4. He plays on the Rangers 3rd line with Jesper Fast and Brett Howden as well as playing on the Rangers 2nd PP unit.

NHL DFS Top Line Stacks

Pittsburgh 1 – Dominick Simon – Sidney CrosbyBryan RustThis is a gut play because I just cannot see the Penguins getting shutdown offensively again.

Toronto 2 – Patrick Marleau – Nazim Kadri – Kasperi KapanenToronto needs this line to get going. They also get Jaroslav Halak in the opposing net after he was shellacked by the Canucks on Thursday.

Tampa By 2 – Yanni Gourde – Braydon Point – Tyler Johnson. With J.T. Miller getting a huge price increase I am not a fan of line 1 tonight, so line 2 is where I am going.  They are in the top 6 on the Lightning’s scorer list.

Florida PP 1 – Evgenii Dadonov – Aleksander Barkov – Vincent Trochek

Keith YandleJonathan Huberdeau – I already went over Dadonov, but I want to get exposure to this team. They have been playing well and get an Islanders team who has lost two games in a row.

Carolina 1 – Michael Ferland – Sebastian AhoTeuvo Teravainen – Carolina gets the Red Wings on the second of a back to back after an overtime win on Friday night. They will most likely get Jonathan Bernier in net who comes in with a 4.20 GAA.
