Week 10 of the NFL season is here and the playoff push is beginning. Find all your DraftKings advice to prepare you for the slate of games.

With Week 10 kicking off Thursday night with the Steelers and Panthers, it’s time to look forward to Sunday’s action. This is a good week for daily players. The prime time games that are excluded from the big contest are not going to have a big impact in the fantasy games. Even the bye teams this week are not going to make a dent. Those teams are the Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans.

Let’s jump in with the quarterbacks

Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs vs Arizona Cardinals – $7200

The league’s front runner for MVP, Patrick Mahomes, is back at home this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals. Mahomes is coming off a three touchdown, one interception performance against the Cleveland Browns. He gets a tougher test this weekend with the Cardinals defense. Arizona is the second toughest defense to throw against this year by fantasy points. A lot of that probably has to do with teams developing leads. However, Arizona has an elite corner in Patrick Peterson and elite pass rusher with Chandler Jones. This may be Mahomes toughest test yet.

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers vs Miami Dolphins – $6400

Another elite quarterback going up against a surprisingly stout pass defense is Aaron Rodgers preparing to face the Miami Dolphins. Miami ranks as the sixth toughest teams for quarterbacks, over the last four week that number does rise back up to about league average. Rodgers is getting healthier every week as well. This is an easier matchup than the numbers say and Rodgers is a safe bet this weekend.

Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints @ Cincinnati Bengals – $6300

The opposite of the spectrum of the last two quarterback is Drew Brees this weekend. He travels to Cincinnati to play the Bengals and their quarterback friendly defense. No team has given up more points on average to the position over the last four weeks than the Bengals. Brees has the elite running game behind him. This high scoring game will mean plenty of points and Brees is a great target for those looking at high-priced quarterbacks.

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons vs Cleveland Browns – $6200

An overlooked MVP candidate so far this season has been Atlanta’s Matt Ryan. The former MVP is slinging it with his trio of elite receivers. Ryan stays at home, where he thrives, to play the Browns. Cleveland is a solid pass defense with a strong pass rush and attacking secondary. Atlanta’s passing game will find success though after watching Patrick Mahomes throw for almost 400 yards a week ago.

Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams vs Seattle Seahawks – $6100

Wrapping up the five top priced quarterbacks is Jared Goff. The former number one overall pick is leading the NFC’s best offense but coming off their first loss of the season. Unfortuntalely for Goff and the Rams, a tough Seattle defense awaits. The Legion of Boom may be long gone but the Seattle defense ranks as the toughest against quarterbacks though the first nine weeks. The Seahawks defense may give this offense some trouble but expect Sean McVay and Goff to figure it out.

Value Quarterbacks

Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns vs Atlanta Falcons – $5400

Another former first overall pick tops the value plays this weekend with Baker Mayfield. The rookie quarterback has struggled in his first season but is coming into his own as the season progresses. This weekend Cleveland will need him as they face a Falcons offense that should score serious points. If Mayfield can keep up, against the 30th ranked defense against quarterbacks, then he will drastically out-perform that $5400 price tag.

Alex Smith, Washington Redskins @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers – $5300

There is no surprise here. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense has been historically bad against the pass this season. That trend should continue with Alex Smith and the Redskins coming to town. It will not matter which pass catchers are out there, Smith will find success. Smith is coming off a 300 yard performance against Atlanta, another fantasy friendly defense. This week should be an even better performance for the former first-overall pick.
