Karl-Anthony Towns (vs BKN – $8,900): Needs 42 fantasy points. Towns had 66.7 fantasy points against the Kings on Nov. 9. And now he doesn’t have to worry about Jimmy Butler taking all of his touches. I’m expecting big things out of Towns as the offense should now revolve around him. The points and rebounds should be there with no questions asked. If they aren’t, something has gone horribly wrong in Minnesota. Diagnosis: Expect big things now that Butler is gone and Wiggins might be out.
Nikola Vucevic (at WAS – $8,500): Needs 40.1 fantasy points. Vucevic had 50 fantasy points when these two teams met on Nov. 9. He had 45 fantasy points in 26 minutes on Sunday against the Knicks. He’s been great all season and the back-to-back isn’t too worrying as he got plenty of rest on Sunday. Plus, I’m still not buying the Wizards. Diagnosis: Great matchup and a consistent player.
Steven Adams (vs PHO – $6,700): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. Adams has been over 40 fantasy points in his last two games. With Westbrook out of the lineup, he sees more touches and is able to grab a few more rebounds. He didn’t play against the Suns earlier this season, but if Nerlens Noel was able to put up numbers, Adams should have the same kind of success. He’s a double-double threat with a high rebounding ceiling. Diagnosis: Expect him to be over 40 fantasy points once again.
