Cal snapped their 14-game losing streak vs. USC to eliminate the Trojans from Pac-12 South contention and leads to a big shake-up in the Pac-12 power rankings.

The Pac-12 had another explosive week in Week 11 of the college football season, as the Washington State Cougars ran their record to 9-1, keeping their College Football Playoff hopes alive. Arizona State took care of business against UCLA, moving Chip Kelly’s record to 2-8 in 2018, and Stanford rolled over Oregon State.

Pac-12 power rankings for Week 12.

It has been another lost season for the Oregon State Beavers, who were rolled by the Stanford Cardinal this past weekend, moving their record to 2-8. The Beavers just do not have enough talent to hang in with the likes of Stanford, and by the time the dust settled this past weekend, they were on the losing end of a 48-17 score.

This game got out of hand pretty early, as the Cardinal were up 34-17 at the half. For the Beavers, they at least have a couple shining spots on their roster, including running back Jermar Jefferson, who is dominating defenses as a freshman this season for Oregon State. Jefferson rushed for 109 yards on 16 carries against Stanford.

For the season, Jefferson has now gone over 100 yards six times, including going over the 200-yard mark twice. Jake Luton threw for over 200 yards and a touchdown against Stanford, as he once again targeted Trevon Bradford, who followed up a ten reception effort last weekend with over 120 yards and a touchdown in this one.

When UCLA signed Chip Kelly to be their head coach, the hope was he would bring over the magic that helped him turn Oregon into a national power during his time in Eugene. However, year one has been an absolute disaster, and while they played much better this past weekend against Arizona State, this program has a long way to go.

Wilton Speight got the start over freshman quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson against the Sun Devils, and played well, throwing for over 300 yards against a very good defense. He kept the Bruins in this game throughout and was aided by another solid game from Joshua Kelley, who rushed for nearly 80 yards and a score in this one.

Caleb Wilson hauled in 11 receptions, including two touchdowns, as he was the favorite target of Speight throughout. Adarius Pickett continued his strong play, racking up 12 tackles, but it was not enough for UCLA to avoid its third straight loss. This week, they have a chance to ruin USC’s season, as a win against the Trojans would likely knock USC out of bowl eligibility.
