Week 11 of ESPN College Pick Em was a strong one group wide. All but three of the 30 entries topped 40 points. Four of them eclipsed 50 with Rex-Revelation having the second perfect week in the group this season. Way to go!

If you would like to get in on the fun, join this group and compete head to head with the writers at Fantasy CPR and with fans like yourself! It’s not too late to join!

More from College Football Odds

Clay6805 held on to the top spot with 434 total points, but mdaallen is now within two points. Kev Shep! jumped back into the top three with 429 points. Brian Prete is just one point back and out of the top three for the first time in almost two months! pitpenguins66 rounds out the top five with 425 points.

Jay_da_gr8_1 is in sixth with 422 pionts. Keepingthelittlehumansalive retains seventh place with earlyca falling one point off the pace into eighth. BKNoleGirl hangs on to ninth, and gained three points on eighth place. Protege21242 keeps the 10th slot with 410 points.

My 46 point week actually lost me two spots thanks to mnsooners1 and a new entry from 2pretty4orange. I am in 15th now, and the last one of the group in the 400’s for now. I need another good week!

We had our first clean sweep of the year with all 30 of us picking Oklahoma. mdaallen’s upset picks was the only one that missed out on Clemson. Only three of us picked Northwestern with the leader Clay6805 and Mr. Perfect Rex-Revelation joining mdaallen’s upset pick for that one.

These picks will be for the confidence version of the game, where you assign a point value from 1-10 based on how confident you are in each pick. I will publish mine here each week. If I make a change, I will just amend the original article.

This looks like another tough week. How will the group do this time around?

(1) Texas A&M over UAB:

My picks are going to closely resemble mdaallen’s upsets, I think. This is a game that A&M could lose. UAB is a very good team, but their toughest opponent so far has been Tulane. I expect A&M to be tested since they didn’t really schedule a cupcake for cupcake Saturday. This is an upset that I could see happening, so I will keep this low while others go high.

(2) Syracuse over Notre Dame:

I may end up flipping on this with Ian Book back for the Irish. However, this is a neutral site game in New York City. The Orange fans are going to travel to this one en masse since this is their best chance at a win in this series in quite a while. I still have serious questions about the Syracuse defense, but I’m going to chase points here since the Irish are going to be heavily picked. I see another close one where anything can happen. I won’t make it back into the top ten being conservative.

(3) Cincinnati over Central Florida:

If you have watched both of these teams over the last six weeks or so, it is pretty apparent who the better team is, and it’s all because of the Cincinnati defense. Can they hold up on the road? I tend to think they can. This is going to be really close, so I’ll go for the upset with Cincy and try to gain some points.

(4) Virginia over Georgia Tech:

The only thing that has me going Virginia is that this is a nasty defense. With Georgia Tech a largely one dimensional offense, the Hoos have an advantage here. Georgia Tech could throw a wrench in this and put Oliver, who is a better passer, back in at QB, but I don’t think that happens unless the Bees are backed into a corner. It may be too late by then.

(5) Iowa State over Texas:

This is going to be a tough one in Austin, but the Iowa State defense is good enough to contain Texas. I also think the Texas secondary is going to have issues with Hakeem Butler and the rest of this receiving corps. Something feels different about the Cyclones this year. This is the determining factor to see if something actually is.

LEXINGTON, KY – SEPTEMBER 29: Benny Snell Jr #26 of the Kentucky Wildcats runs for a touchdownl against the South Carolina Gamecocks at Commonwealth Stadium on September 29, 2018 in Lexington, Kentucky. (Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)

(6) Oregon over Arizona State:

Arizona State is coming off a big win and Oregon a big loss. First one to 50 wins here. I just trust the Oregon offense a little more, and if I had more faith in any of the lower ones, I would lower the points on this. I don’t have a lot of faith in Oregon right now.

(7) West Virginia over Oklahoma State:

The Cowboys gave up a ton of big plays last week, and West Virginia has made a living putting up big plays in the passing game. David Sills has dropped some passes lately, but Grier is right on target no matter who he is throwing to. This one could get ugly.

(8) Utah over Colorado:

The return of Shenault has me marginally less confident in this, but I don’t think that Colorado offense is quite good enough to stun the Utes. Arizona State has a lot of athletes. Colorado really doesn’t.

(9) Kentucky over Middle Tennessee State:

This game is going to be uglier than most think. MTSU has a terrible defense. Benny Snell will run for 250 if Kentucky gives him the carries. This Kentucky defense is going to clamp down on an inferior offense. The only difference here is that MTSU doesn’t have the defense to lock down Snell like Georgia, Missouri, and Tennessee did.

(10) Fresno State over San Diego State:

Yeah, so, losing to UNLV is the last straw. The Aztecs are average at best, and this Fresno defense is much better than they get credit for. I hate waiting so long to see the fate of my ten point pick, but this looks like the most sure thing on the table this week.
