Fantasy Football 2018: 3 Deep Wide Receivers for Week 11
By Bill Pivetz
Fantasy football owners are looking for viable wide receiver replacements with some good players unavailable because of the bye week.
While the waiver claims have already processed, you can still make a move to improve your fantasy football roster for this week and beyond. There are some wide receivers available that could start for you and have good performances. Here are three receivers worth adding in deep leagues.
The Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers are the teams on bye. This may not take away some of the elite wide receivers but without Jarvis Landry, Josh Gordon, Robby Anderson, Quincy Enunwa and Marquise Goodwin, fantasy owners may need to find a third receiver or flex replacement.
The three wide receivers listed are owned in less than 20 percent of ESPN leagues and 26 percent in Yahoo leagues. Based on their situation and previous performances, they are speculative adds that could lead to success.
Josh Reynolds, LAR
With the unfortunate news of Cooper Kupp tearing his ACL and done for the season, Reynolds will fill in as the Los Angeles Rams’ third wide receiver. The team doesn’t use a tight end as a pass catcher so they run more three-wide receiver sets.

Reynolds scored two touchdowns on three catches and 42 yards in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers. He and the Rams face the soft Kansas City Chiefs secondary. He should be able to score double-digit points this week.
Brandon Marshall, NO
Marshall gets an opportunity with the New Orleans Saints after Dez Bryant tore his Achilles. Marshall played sparingly with the Seattle Seahawks to start the season but the emergence of Tyler Lockett and David Moore forced Marshall to ride the bench.
Drew Brees targets Michael Thomas more than the other wide receivers. Alvin Kamara also gets looks in the passing game while Mark Ingram takes the carries. Tight end Ben Watson is hit or miss or Marshall could benefit as the team’s No. 2 wide receiver.
With the Philadelphia Eagles next in the path of the wrecking ball that is the Saints offense, he should get four to five targets against the struggling secondary.
Donte Moncrief, JAX
The Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver situation has been a roulette of who’s going to have the big game. Fantasy owners were looking at Keelan Cole and Dede Westbrook early in the season but Moncrief has looked good over the last few weeks.
Between Week 4 and 10, six games, Moncrief has 25 catches on 44 targets with 413 yards and two touchdowns. Cole has 14 catches and 165 yards while Westbrook has 26 receptions for 301 yards and two scores in that span.
Moncrief and the Jaguars face a tough Pittsburgh defense this week. They will likely be behind early, forcing Blake Bortles to throw more than usual.
These three wide receivers are not elite talents but with six teams on bye and more players injured, they could put up some points. If your league using a free-agent budget, don’t invest more than $5 in any of these players.
