Oklahoma City will be without Russell Westbrook for the fifth straight game. No problem, as the faulty Knicks will come to OKC on Wednesday.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have learned how to win without Russell Westbrook. The New York Knicks are trying to figure out how to win on a consistent basis.
When the Knicks (4-10) pay a visit to the Thunder (8-5), it’ll be a matchup of two teams who are going in opposite directions.
After a rocky start to the season, OKC is beginning to find themselves again. Oddly enough, they have done it without Westbrook, who will miss his fifth straight game with a sprained left ankle.
It hasn’t been much of an issue, though, as Paul George has been the glue that has pieced the Thunder back together, and leading them to a 4-1 record in Westbrook’s absence, with their lone loss coming at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks.
The Thunder received some good news on Tuesday when Westbrook participated in practice and could be back on the court soon. With Westbrook’s return and OKC finally playing the way many hoped they would play, the Thunder are, once again, one of the West’s most dangerous teams.
Oh, and they also have a five-game home winning streak, which doesn’t particularly bode well for visiting Knicks.

Maybe a road trip is what New York needs right now, as they were demolished in front of their home crowd in a 115-89 soul-crushing loss to the Orlando Magic on Sunday night.
Head coach David Fizdale is hinting at, once again, changing his lineup, moving Kevin Knox into the starting unit, and pushing Frank Ntilikina to the bench. Knox may have earned this role, as he was one of the lone bright spots in their loss to the Magic, leading the team with 17 points.
