I really hope you picked up Anthony Miller from last week’s column, but if not, I’m sure we could  find you something from the bottom of the Waiver Wire barrel this week!

Hello and welcome to another edition of Fantasy CPR’s Waiver Wire Scraps column where we find you the best fantasy options that are most likely still on your waiver wire after waivers have processed. The fantasy season is aging, and teams are being eliminated from playoff contention more and more often. As a fantasy football commissioner myself, please have the integrity to stay active throughout the whole season. It can only help you improve for next year.

Before we start, a few words of advice:

If you have already clinched a playoff spot, make sure to stow away players with good playoff match-ups, especially D/ST’s. This may seem like a small move but these are the things that win championships and create a higher floor for your team.

Also, always make sure you check who your opponents have dropped, another team owner may have dropped a talented player for a bye week tool.

Quarterbacks

Lamar Jackson

We have previously discussed a plethora of different Quarterback options that are still likely to be on your waivers, but Jackson could be of a different caliber than those guys. Due to a hip injury, Joe Flacco hasn’t been practicing which could lead to Lamar Jackson starting the Ravens upcoming game against the Bengals. It would be ridiculous to claim that the narrative isn’t there. Would anyone be surprised if Jackson led the Ravens to the playoffs? It seems to be a great possibility. Lamar Jackson could be a league winner with weapons like John Brown, Willie Snead, and Michael Crabtree. His rushing ability is very attractive also. Pick up the rookie QB if you are in need.

Running Backs

Josh Adams

Adams has made a significant dent into the Eagles backfield, carrying the ball 16 times over the past two games. He seems to be the best goal-line back, and has been efficient on the ground. Adams has averaged 6.8 yards per carry in these two games and Doug Pederson seems to have a soft spot for him. I would expect Adams to take the reins in the backfield and be a valuable fantasy option.

Jacquizz Rodgers

Rodgers was very involved in the passing game for the Bucs in their most recent bout against the Washington Redskins. If the Buccaneers continue to participate in games where they will be behind, it would not surprise me if he had more games like the last, where he had eight receptions for 102 yards. If he scores a touchdown here he would be a hotter name on the waiver wire, so see if you can stash him now and see what this role develops into.

Note: Now is the time to start stashing handcuffs such as: Gio Bernard, Austin Ekeler, and Chase Edmonds!

Receivers

Willie Snead IV

Snead is a player that has somehow flown under the radar and is only 20% owned in ESPN leagues. He has had five receptions in each of his last four games and has an incredible schedule for the rest of both the regular season and the playoffs. If the Lamar Jackson theory comes to fruition, Snead will benefit from it greatly. This makes Snead a top waiver scrap.

Donte Moncrief

Believe it or not, Moncrief has actually been a pretty good fantasy asset this year. He was essentially free in draft and his price tag hasn’t changed. The strange thing is that his stats aren’t terrible. Moncrief has only had less than 10 points in 4 games this season and has enough big play ability to help a lot of teams who need the help at WR. The Jags wide receiver is actually playing near the standard that people expected of him in Indianapolis.

Ricky Seals-Jones

Ricky Seals-Jones has suffered along with the Cardinals offense, but with a change in coordinator things are looking upward. Seals-Jones had five receptions for 51 yards this past Sunday against the Chiefs. I am very interested in his 9 targets, and think he is a great pickup among a terrible group of fantasy tight ends.
