Why do you need another DFS site? Because DRAFT combines the excitement of a season-long draft into one set of games!  This article has some targets and pre-draft rankings all set for you to jump into some NFL DRAFT DFS action!

Welcome to the 2018 NFL week 10 edition of NFL DRAFT DFS, now covering auction style drafts on DRAFT.com from FantasyCPR.  If you are new to DRAFT or if you are wondering what I am even talking about, check it out here.

I will first go over my targets at each position, and follow that up with rankings. Each target will be followed with their current auction value, which I will refer to as CAV in the future. Auction values change over the course of the week, so I will make them a $5.00 window.

Rosters on DRAFT are 1-QB, 2-RB’s, and 2 WR/TE’s, so just five spots. New to the article this week, will be the fact that we will be geared more towards auction style drafts. Therefore, each targets write-up may talk about how to approach that certain player in an auction.

We will still have our normal rankings after the targets, but instead of DRAFT’s projections following the players name, the CAV will follow instead. Auctions are six man contests, but I will still rank my top 50 players for those that are still here for the 10-man drafts.

These will consist of my top 10 QB’s, and my top 20 RB’s and WR/TE’s.

NFL DRAFT DFS: QB Targets:

Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs – ($10-15)

If you read this piece every week, you see this guy a lot. In fact, it is usually him as my top pick right in this price range, and I usually have plenty of exposure. Nothing changes this week, as the Chiefs will now head to L.A. instead of Mexico to face the Rams on Monday Night Football. There are a solid handful of about four or five QB’s in above-average spots this week, but I have to put a premium on just about every skill position player in this match-up.

These two explosive offenses will square off in what many think could be a Super Bowl preview. The over-under is an incredible 63 1/2 in most places, and that marks the highest game total we have seen this season. Mahomes has gone for right around $11-12 in a majority of my auctions, but when brought up early, he can go as high as $25-30. In 10-man drafts he is going right around mid-late second round when all participants are actively drafting, but there is occasionally that one auto-drafter who unknowingly selects him in the first round.

Either way, Mahomes averages close to 30 DP per week, and this should be the shoot-out of the century. I love the Mahomes to Tyreek Hill combo this week, along with Kareem Hunt on the Chiefs side of the ball. I am happy to get him for my average bid of $11, but when I miss, I am 100% targeting this next guy.

Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints – ($5-10)

The Saints are running hot at the moment, and have cruised to the top of the pack in the NFC. This week, the 4-5 reigning Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles will head to New Orleans, where they find themselves 9.5 point underdogs. Brees has been hot for two weeks, starting with his 346-yard, 4 touchdowns performance in a 45-35 win over the then undefeated Rams. That was good for 31.4 DP, and he continued the solid play on the road the following week in Cincinnati.

Brees is known to not be the same QB on the road, so I was a little hesitant on drafting him last week. However, he was able to throw for three touchdowns, and add a rushing TD as well, on his way to 28.9 DP. In this match-up with the Eagles, I think Brees stays hot, and we see another big game from this offense. I like putting a $6 bid on him this week in auctions, as the only QB’s I really have interest in are Mahomes, Brees, and Cam Newton. In 10-man drafts, I have grabbed him late in the third once or twice, but have also gotten him in the fourth round as well.

NFL DRAFT DFS: RB Targets:

Kareem Hunt – Kansas City Chiefs – ($45-50)

Without a doubt, maybe the most overlooked of the top-tier backs this week is Hunt. Todd Gurley is still #1 with a bullet in my rankings, and you will likely need to spend over $60 of your $100 salary to land him once again in auctions. But in drafts, I am actually surprised to see the guys that are getting drafted ahead of Hunt, especially in this match-up, in this game, with this massive 63.5 total.

I have seen Hunt go as late as 1.10 in 10-man drafts, and as low as $27 in auctions. His projection sits lower than all of these backs that are getting drafted ahead of them, so let’s be thankful for and exploit this potentially low projection. All in all, there are eight running backs with higher projections than Hunt, and I have him ranked second overall. I am going to have a ton of him, and fully expect multiple TD’s here.

Ezekiel Elliott – Dallas Cowboys – ($40-45)

One of those backs ranked ahead of Hunt this week and maybe rightfully so, is the Cowboys workhorse back Zeke Elliott. Without any doubt in my mind, Zeke is this offense. Honestly, I am not sure how Dak Prescott is still the QB here, but that is besides the point.

After a couple of rough games against formidable rushing defenses in the Redskins and Titans, people were simply ignoring Zeke last week in auctions and drafts, and he could be had mid-second round, or for just around $30 on average. Now this week after a monster 151 rushing yard, two total touchdown effort against Philly last week, he is the hot commodity. In every auction I miss Gurley, I am immediately trying to land Zeke and Hunt if both are still out there.

Leonard Fournette – Pittsburgh Steelers – ($1-5)

Our last running back target this week was sneaking through the cracks a bit earlier in the week, but it seems his ADP is climbing quite a bit. I was able to get Fournette in a couple of 10-man drafts late-third round, as his low projection had most just not seeing him. In auctions, I also have a couple of nice teams with Fournette and one of the studs, along with two of my top five receivers, and one of my top three QB’s.

Now however, this morning I was drafting a 10-man and Fournette went 1.10. In that particular draft, I grabbed Mark Ingram in the last round, and he is another back with a low projection that should not be forgotton this week.

Fournette only rushed for 53 yards last week in his return from injury against the Colts, but he was all systems go, as he rushed 24 times. He found the end zone once on the ground, and was surprisingly active in the passing game as well. He mustered up 56 receiving yards, and found the end zone once more, for a total of 25.4 DP. He’s got sneaky good value in this match-up with the Steelers, and he can help you get some top flight WR’s in auctions.

NFL DRAFT DFS: WR/TE Targets:

Michael Thomas – New Orleans Saints – ($25-30)

With the Saints recent offensive success, one man at the forefront over the last couple of weeks is Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas. I heard a crazy stat during the game that I would love to share with you, but I am forgetful, and I tend to not write things down or take notes in my phone. I don’t remember it exactly, but it was something like this.

Thomas had been targeted 79 times going into last weeks game, and he had caught 70 of those targets. I don’t know if this is the chemistry between Brees and Thomas, or the fact that Brees is incredibly accurate, but whatever it is, these two are definitely on the same page.

Thomas now has 78 catches on the season on 87 targets, and will likely be crossing the 1,000 yard plateau this week. He has found the end zone seven times this season, with three scores coming in the last two weeks. Thomas averaged right around 28 FDP in those two games, and he could easily go big once again here in this home tilt with the struggling Eagles.

Adam Thielen – Minnesota Vikings – ($10-15)

The CAV on Thielen is kind of all over the place, and it really all depends on when he is brought up in your auction. If he is in the first five WR to go, he could cost over $20. If you play it right and wait it out, you can get him for $5 or less. One thing keeping his price down for sure, is the questionable tag he currently carries.

Not only that, he also has a really tough match-up this week, as the Vikings will square off with the Bears at Soldier Field. Thielen was limited in practice on Wednesday, and how much he goes on Thursday will closer determine whether or not he will be ready for Sunday Night Football in Chicago. He is dropping to late-second, early third round in the 10-man drafts, and my hunch is he plays, and will again be an integral part of the Vikings offense.

Antonio Brown – Pittsburgh Steelers – ($5-10)

Our final target this week before we get to the rankings, is another elite receiver like Thielen, who is also maybe being overlooked. The Jaguars defense is coming around a bit, but is nowhere near as elite as it was last season. While Brown will be locked up with shut-down corner Jalen Ramsey, he has proven to be beatable at times this season.

Brown’s yards are down a bit, but he is not having any trouble finding the end-zone, as he has amassed 10 touchdowns so far this season. He is sliding to the mid-second round in the 10-man drafts, and I have gotten him multiple times in auctions for less than $10. I will not let this match-up that really isn’t that bad deter me from AB84 this week.

NFL DRAFT DFS: Week 10 Rankings: Top 50

My rankings are pretty easy to follow. I have ranked the top 50 overall. Following each player is their DRAFT CAV, which is generated by me, in parenthesis. Again, we will have the top ten QB’s, 20 RB’s and 20 WR/TE’s, and here they are!

***The CAV is the Current Auction Value. These are not my projections or what I am spending on these players. This dollar amount is to be used as a guide to get a feel for what these players are currently going for in my auctions. When the CAV’s are absent that means I have not (or maybe once) seen them drafted in a 6-man auction***
