Houston Texans (-3) at Washington Redskins

Why are the Redskins (6-3) not favored in this game? The Texans (6-3) have won six straight but haven’t beaten a winning team in the stretch. Additionally, Washington is the more complete team on both sides of the ball, even with limitations brought on by having Alex Smith under center.

Pick: Washington 19, Houston 17

Pittsburgh Steelers (-5.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars (3-6) would be a fun upset pick here, but they are just so cooked. The Steelers (6-2-1) have won five straight to vault themselves into the AFC’s second seed, and while Pittsburgh has its warts, they on’t be exposed here. The Jaguars were so close to the Super Bowl only 10 months ago, and now they are miles away.

Pick: Pittsburgh 25, Jacksonville 20

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New York Giants (-1.5)

Somebody call the police on this game. The Giants (2-7) are a terrible team despite finally winning their second game on Monday night, while the Buccaneers (3-6) rack up yardage every week, only to turn the ball over in the dumbest ways imaginable.

Pick: New York 28, Tampa Bay 24

Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts (-2)

Quietly an interesting game in Indianapolis this week. The Colts (4-5) have won three straight while the Titans (5-4) are coming off an impressive win over the Patriots. Whoever wins has control of the second spot in the AFC South behind Houston, and a real chance to get into the playoffs.

Pick: Indianapolis 32, Tennessee 23
